Good to see our defense has improved so much now that we have a defensive-minded head coach. And Nash is finally getting his rest too, playing only 43 minutes tonight.

No way should Nash have been out there. Wont even bring up how he was switched over to Granger when we knew he was the guy to shoot it.

another buzzer beater heart-breaker!
they gotta work hard on defense. it's not about the last shot. but just the defensive attention to the other team's hot hands throughout. Granger should have been defended like in the 4th through at least end of 1st quarter, denying him the ball etc. And their PF shooting 4 3s were unacceptible.

This team has such a low basketball IQ and so many bad habits on the defensive end. They're hopeless.

I've been one of the few Porter supporters, but I would really like to know why Nash was in the game for the last defensive possession tonight and against the Spurs, and why in the hell wasn't there a foul as soon as Granger touched the ball. :bang::bang::bang:

exactly. bring in Barnes for Nash. everyone on the court would be tall enough to challenge that shot. either that or our rotation won't be as slow for him to feel comfortable shooting it.:bang:

Defensive cluelessness finds us with Steve Nash on Danny Granger with the game on the line. Yep, that's basically our team in a microcosm.

Don't worry guys! Maybe this loss will spark something in the team and make them fired up for Dallas...

Nash was too late already for the foul before shooting motion, with only .9'' left. But Nash is notorious for inability to fight through screens so that it'd be a winning strategy for the other team any time to do the trick.

Also, with the rebound, JR should have called a timeout with 4-5sec still left.

This may be an unpleasant assessment to some but true. The Suns really have no interior defense without Shaq and they don't get out on the 3 point shooters. Robin Lopez who?

Seriously though Griff, there's a big difference between criticism and gloating. Which is it?
Gloating? My team just lost, what is there to gloat about? I just find it more and more difficult to see reasons that justify why Porter is the right coach for this team.

You are right on both accounts. I just watched the replay and Nash really screwed up on that one. Eric Snow also pointed out that Amare basically made it too easy to inbound that ball. :bang:

I don't think anyone was covering Granger to even foul him, anyway that's how open he was. Great defense. I probably won't sleep all night.

Oh, and since I've bashed Nash and Amare, let me just add that Shaq is a little bitch. Back spasms my ass. Suck it up big man and at least be available off the bench if need be.

Can we please get rid of porter?

And just who would saver hire then? It could be worse, the suns could have vinny del negro, or steve Kerr for head coach. And if you dont think kerr will be worse than porter, you may be in for a rude awakening in the next few years.

Excuses Post

1. NO SHAQ
2. 6-3 with Jrich. That's a 2-1 win/loss ratio, even better in a way when two of those losses are buzzer beaters, you can even include roy going off that night with Aldridge's weird bank shot.

They're going to get past this unfairness and they're only getting better, really. Barring injuries this team will be an even better team after the allstar break, it's going to pan out and I don't think anyone can completely disagree with that.
