Trying to figure out if this beatdown of the Pacers is more impressive than the beatdown of the Clippers on national TV. Also...Ish is a baller

The win against the Clips was truly impressive. This was a STATEMENT game.

Big win for the Suns blowing out the best team in the NBA on national television.

Interesting fact:

The Suns have won each of their last seven games when Green scores 20-plus points

Gerald Green has the ability to be a bona fide star and chief igniter of this team! Not sure he will rise to that level as the space between his ears can use some more work, and he'll need to become more consistent. But, there is no other reason why he couldn't average 25 ppg...
If Plumlee can ever develop a legit shot from 3-5 away from the basket, watch out...
Great win! So fun to watch!

Ish Smith is really underrated. He isn't as bad as his resume looks.

Green has been playing much smarter lately. I've seen him post up, pump-fake and drive to the hoop, and even take some mid-range jumpers. He still takes a couple of ill-advised shots every game, but we are talking about 10-20% of his shots being ill-advised now as opposed to 70% earlier this year.

Plumlee, green and Leandro. All seldom used players on the Pacers roster last year.

Revenge game.

Interesting fact:

I've always thought that the Suns go as Green goes. If he's on he can carry a team with his "swagger." And it has to be demoralizing to the opposing team when Green is making ridiculous shots and putting up 20+ points.

He's got to do it more often now with Bledsoe out. But if Bledsoe is able to come back and get in shape for the playoffs I see the Suns having a great chance of upsetting a higher seed. (Like the Warriors did against Dallas.)

He doesn't have good enough ball handling to be a true star and is pretty terrible at creating for himself. But he's got that Eddie Johnson / Jamal Crawford ability to light it up and carry a team for stretches.

i like Green's swagger on this team, i think its something we need, also too is Len's attitude. Forever we have been to soft and too nice. I know some here didn't like Green's hand gestures when he hit that game winner a while back.

I noticed too we are setting better screens and Im not sure if i can explain this...but harder screens too. Putting someone in check and making it very difficult to get around. It might just be better execution and timing.

One thing I really see as a weakness to our game is Plumlee's lack of outside shooting. He was dared and left wide open last night below the free throw line. I can see why he was left out of periods at times during the season. He's great for short shots and put backs tho. He also still does a good job of going straight up on defense.

Ish is zoo quick and athletic as well. Guy has hops and surprises the opponent from time to time.

Great game to see. They attained the lead and kept it.

Great win by the Suns, however, I'm trying to relate it to losses against the Bulls and Grizzles. Would the Suns have folded to these teams again if they had played last night? Physical defensive teams seem to have the Suns number. The Pacers should have fallen in this category. Just wondering if it was something different than Suns players playing against their old team.

His ball-handling skills are good. Could they be better? Sure.
And you really think he is "terrible" are creating for himself?? Again, can he improve in that area? Absolutely... but "terrible"?? Not seeing that at all. I think he's pretty damn good at creating for himself.

As SirStefan said, he still takes a few too many poor shots... And he still needs to mature - emotionally... But if he can... and, if he can refine his game in the areas mentioned, I have no doubt that he will become a perennial allstar and a leader on this team.

I didn't say anything negative about their chances in this game, but I sure thought it. Didn't even stick around at my local sports bar to watch this late game because I was sure I knew the outcome.

Boy, I am eating crow today after reading the score. Big, Big Win!

No kidding! A bunch of sad sacks at the beginning of this thread. A GREAT win against the team with the best record in the NBA. The Pacers were 18-2 against the Western Conference before this game. Wow!

incredibly impressive win.

If this team can tread water until Bledsoe comes back we might really get a little excitement come April!

If Hornacek isn't Coach of the Year for taking this band of misfits and making them competitive, it would be an absolute disgrace

So far I'd say he's running second behind Stotts. The Blazers have a good roster, but they aren't that good. Their position at the top of the standings is a huge story.

Perhaps. It looks like Dallas is trying real hard to stay in that 8th seed. I wouldn't be surprised if they kept that up and declared a major injury toward the end to drop out of the playoff race.

I think its more important to build a winning mentality. I could see us moving up to the 5th or 6th seed if things break our way. That would be an amazing feat.

Good win and hard not to get super optimistic about the team but looking at it realistically, it doesn't show us anything we didn't already know - the Suns can beat just about any team if their outside shooting is on.

That being said, there are some nice developments.

Ish being more and more effective bodes well with Bledsoe's sketchy timeline. That floater over Hibbert was a thing of beauty. If he can continue finishing around that area the passing lanes should open up more for him.

Showing up for big games. They've absolutely throttled their superior opponents in both nationally televised games.

Creating more pace. That eastern road swing they just couldn't manufacture fast break points, even when they did create a turnover. With the Denver game and last night, they seem to be getting back to generating fast break points, even on makes.

Good stuff!

Also I think Barbosa should get a lot of credit as well, even when his shooting is off. His dribble penetration helps to simulate part of what Bledsoe brought to the Suns, by sucking in the defense. However, Barbosa is not a PG and needs to play with another PG to be effective.

Yea and I really don't like Barbosa bringing up the ball. Ish should do that.
