I was not impressed with the trailer at all. I was expecting the whole robots v. monsters thing, but this looks to be nothing more than the plot of a SyFy movie.

Debbie Gibson and Lorenzo Lamas played outstanding roles in that movie! I also loved how the Megashark bit the golden gate bridge in half, you know - just because....




Godzilla movies aren't anything special but I still love to watch them. This will be the same...

Yep. I thought about that movie as well. The actor from 'Alien nation' was in it IIRC... I was so hoping that movie would be good. It was awful!!!

A live action 'Macross' (Robotech) movie would be awesome!!! Japan already did a live action 'Star Blazers' that wasn't to bad... story changed quite a bit but they always do...

Saw the trailer when I went to see 'The Hobbit'. So looking forward to this movie. It should just be some serious 300 ft robot monster stompin fun!!!

Planning on seeing this this weekend. Considering how we all complain about remakes, reboots, and re-imaginings, we owe it to ourselves to some something original.

Plus, I hear it kicks ass!

Saw it and yes it does kick ass!!! Acting is average, the jaegers and kaiju are epic, and some great scenes that give homage to movies he based 'Pac Rim'off of... I really got a kick out of the two scientist as well.

yeah...the action is pretty awesome, but everything else is pretty meh. would be nice to see one of these movies actually have characters I like/root for/care if they die.

I seen this Friday IMAX 3D holy **** talk about sensory overload. Is just a plain fun popcorn eating movie. It's giant robots fighting giant monsters if your looking for gone with the wind keep walking.

Favorite part had to be the opening this movie waste no time at all getting to the action

That's disappointing...I would have hoped for more from a Guillermo del Toro film.

yeah...I'm starting to think Toro is one of the most overrated directors of this era. I REALLY liked Pan's Labrynth, but I've never been wowed by his other stuff. The first Hellboy was entertaining, but the second one which everyone raves about had me scratching my head, wondering what I missed.

I thought the relationship between Stringer Bell and the Asian Chick was good...everyone else? meh. Good cameo by Ron Perlman. Movie could have used a lot more of him. And the end of his story was much better done in another movie that I won't spoil here.

I actually liked RD2D and C3PO also. Don't worry...you'll know exactly who those two are the second they hit the screen.

First, have you ever seen Devil's Backbone? Better than Pan's IMO.

As for this one, the script was pretty blah--mostly because he used a lot of cliches. Charlie Day was a bit annoying, but I did like the relationship that developed between the two leads. He effects were spectacular, definitely as real as you can get with a film like this. Not the greatest movie as a whole, but certainly some of the best effects movies I've ever seen.
