Packers better than any team Cards faced last post-season?

Are the '09 Packers better than the '08 Falcons, Panthers and Eagles?

Is this Green Bay team better than the Falcons, Panthers and Eagles from last season? I think you can make a very strong case they are. A QB who threw for more than 4,000 yards for the 2nd consecutive season. A 1,200 yard back. Two 1,000 yard wideouts and a ridiculously talented TE. A defense that has all-pro talent scattered throughout.

What say you??

"Yes" if we lose, "No" if we win.

In the meantime, I'm not any more worried about them than the teams we played last year. We're better than last year, IMO. just have to see whether we can prove that or not.

I personally think the Steelers last year were better.

I agree we are better than last season. And I believe that when we are mentally on-point, we are better than this Packers team. The Cards still havenn't shown an ability to sustain consistently good play. And for me, that is the biggest bogey in this whole thing. Will the Cards show up Sunday ready to rumble? Will they tackle, play disciplined defense? Keep the yellow flags stuffed tightly in the refs jockeys? Will Warner, Fitz, Q and the O-Line be in sync and productive? Will we see a team that kicked the Vikes asses, or a team that the very next week on Monday Night Football blew chunks all over Candlestick Park?

Steelers are the best we've faced, they have the ring to prove it.

Packers can dominate our vanilla scheme and backups all they want, they've only beaten two other winning teams all season.

Steelers were probably one of the best, but the Packers this season have offensive and defensive balance that last year's opponents don't.

My greatest hope is for a win and a rematch against MINN so I can host the ASFN local party at my place!

Better than Philly, but not better than the Steelers.

I think Philly was a better team last year than the Packers are this year.

I screwed up... should have been more clear as I meant to only include the Falcons, Panthers and Eagles in this poll... The Steelers were clearly better than this Packers team. Although, I do find it to be extremely odd that this season, after losing only Mcfadden and Foote, the Steelers couldn't even make it back to the post season... Strange.

Then that's one more than us because the ony winning teams the Cards beat are Houston and Minnesota.

We beat Minnesota, Minnesota beat the Packers twice. Paper, rock, scissors.

Some of you are far too ready to crown these guys when this Packer team hasn't done jack yet.

Let's clarify a few things. The Packers have played 7 of their 16 games against teams that finished with a winning record. They finished with a 3-4 record, however, they are 3-0 in the second half of the season against winning teams.

The Cardinals have played 4 teams with a winning record all year. They went 2-2, and are 1-1 in the second half of the season.

Of the teams in the playoffs, only the Ravens have played more quality opponents than the Packers.

Also, something that irks me. Every Cardinal fan I've come across on various forums in the past few days, as well as Wisenhunt, apparently, after listening to his press conference, seem to have forgotten that the Packers came to Arizona on Sunday for the purpose of playing a football game. You can get away with saying that not much can be learned from a game like this, but you CAN'T get away with saying "it didn't count" or questioning why McCarthy left people in the game for the amount of time he did. He has the right to game plan for a football game and he did so. Wisenhunt had his plan, and he chose to put out his scrubs for most of the second half to get run over. But it still counts as a win, based on his choice. I'm just sick of hearing "the Packers didn't really BEAT us..." Sure we did, it was just your coach's choice to concede defeat before the ball was even kicked off. That's his prerogative.

Wisenhunt ranted about McCarthy leaving Rodgers in for the purpose of topping a statistical milestone, which Rodgers conveniently failed to reach (he left the game with 25 yards to surpass Lynn Dickey for the single season yardage record).

Actually our scrubs went in during the first half. I certainly don't fault the Packers for playing their starters. They marched down the field on their first drive very easily on our first team D and took care of business. We have nothing positive to take away from this game. But the Packer fans seem to think they established something that will make this week an easy game for them. They were hysterical about the win. I could be wrong but I believe you will have more of a fight this weekend than you anticipate.

Dan your pretty umm I guess clueless if you don't think Rodgers was in there to pad stats! They got him over 4000 yards and beat a couple of Farve passing records and also played the starting D most of the game to keep the rushing yrds record. This was a total BS game for us yet your great coach kept his starters in for nearly the entire game to reach some numbers period! And no you did not beat us as you say, again as you said we conceded it before the game even started! Once the Vikings were up big we decided to not play and show our hand, you will get to see these teams really play for the first time this year on Sunday! Oh don't forget your little yellow cheese towel to wipe your tears.

We slaughtered the Vikings. Green Bay couldn't seem to whiff a win over Minnesota. :D

How'd you guys do against the Bucs this year ?

And I seem to remember that your team had some problems winning against a division foe that we rolled over as well.

We all have our hiccups, so don't get too crazy.
