Just rewatched it in slow motion and it is indeed a little high. Despite that, it absolutely should have been caught and it bounces right off his hands. In fact, the ball is thrown to the side where the play is going.

The play call is actually a good call. When the ball bounces off Moore's hand, the Cards have numbers in front and it should go for a good gain. It's wide open field in the middle where the play is shaded.

Very bad day for the rookie.

This is just how good this play was. The only guy in the middle is about to get blocked downfield. It's 4 blockers to 3 defenders.

Ugh rewatching that makes me absolutely sick. That play is an easy first down without the drop. Huge momentum swing that keeps the offense going.
The more I watch the replay I think is as much a failure by the Oline (both guards)

First the pressure.

Josh Jones gets absolutely worked and barely gives any resistance to the guy who pressured Kyler. If Jones does better its possible Kyler isnt getting the ball out so soon/ "throwing wild"

The next thing is to notice Pugh. He doesnt get upfield fast enough. What looks like a "wild throw" is actually Rondale having to run around Pugh in order to get the ball.

Jones basically let the guy go to pick up someone else but the guy was right in Kyler's face so I blame Josh. On replay you're right that Rondeal doesn't basically run around pugh. The throw was high but the more I look I do somewhat agree with Chris it's a catchable ball and it's well blocked. Really tough game for Rondale

Kyler bears probably 75 percent of the blame for that INT. It was a horrible throw he should never have made. Rondale could have done better, but that throw didn't do him any favors.
Disagree. You want to make big money as a professional WR? Catch it. Both hands are on it.

Love Rondale, but that was his rookie mistake game. He cost us the game more than Green did.

Meh. that's pretty far away from his body and he's no stretch Armstrong. Considering he was clean and there was no need for the ball to be high and wide it looks like it took Moore by surprise because there was quite a lot of zip on the pass.

I'm going to have to rebalance and say 50/50. Nice angle by the way.

I had to go frame by frame on 3 different views to get the best one.

Nice. I still have to edge the blame back to Kyler here. It's right at the outer limits of Moore's reach and while he does get hands to it with the pace on the ball it's a tough one to catch. And no real excuse for Kyler to put it there from 10 yards away. Both bare fault.

The muff was worse from Moore. No idea what he was doing there. No excuse for not catching that one. Completely misread the flight.

Look at where the packers are. He can't throw it more in.

5'8 high and outside in traffic. Personally that is just a tough catch for a rookie in traffic. We can disagree on that.

You are correct that it was a really good play in that moment and was actually blocked pretty well.

Two things stood out in the game from an offensive perspective.

1 - Our screen game is not at the same level as Rodgers and the Packers.

2 - Rodgers just punishes teams for soft coverage in a way that Murray hasn't mastered yet.

Those aren't critiques. Just stating the difference of a QB with 10+ more years of experience in the league.

The more and more i think about it, the more and more I believe we actually played a pretty good game.

The screen game is dependent on experience and feel. There are so many little things that you have to do in all areas of the screen game and I just don't think we use it enough to be as precise as we need to be.

When we stomped the Rams they played the Seahawks the week after in a tough game and won convincingly 26 - 17.

That's what the Cardinals have to do now. People out there know we could have won this game except for one bad play. Now they want to know we can take it on the chin and fight back. That's what this team (and us fans) have to focus on now.

We do that and beat the niners on the road and it shows this team has the toughness to see the season out.

We choke and lose again and we have a problem.

You are right about this at least.

In ten days we will see exactly what this team is made of. We'll have a very good idea of after the SF game of whether or not we're truly a threat to go all the way.

can you imagine losing that game... and it being the Super Bowl? That's in essence what happened to the Seahawks. Not sure I could ever get over a game like that. Probably made it easier having won the title the previous year for Seattle, but if they hadn't? yikes.

also, that really really sucked last night.

The next game is always the biggest game that will show what the team is made of. After the SF game, the next game that will truly tell us what this team is made of will be Carolina. Then,,,,,,etc, etc,

The Rondale interception also highlights how Kirk not being a YAC guy hurts us.

We threw him one screen where I thought he'd get good yards and instead just got 2. If Kirk was another YAC/screen guy we wouldnt be so predictable with Rondale.

Our GM has his work cut out for him this weekend. We need help desperately in both lines.

Also, next year we'll need a lot more help than we have draft picks, that's for sure. We need to free up both Jones and Watts salaries. I loved having Watt, but was afraid he wouldn't make it through the year. His body is just shot. Can't count on him anymore. It is dead money.

I think more than anything, our #1 pick has to be the best stud pass rusher we can get. Followed by inside run stopper. Those two things alone will go a long way to fixing our defensive woes.

Garbage take. We are excited because a loss like this is NOT going to derail an entire season. It just isnt. This team does not quit. ever. backed against a wall, playing poorly, they keep pressing until they break thru. It almost culminated in a W. Youre the one who "wont ever forgive" AJ Green. Hilarious.

Accusing her of a lack of self respect is bush league garbage.
Self respect as fans. We absolutely should. We should expect better. If we don’t there’s no need for organization to give it.

And no one said this loss will derail the season. There’s your garbage take. Nicely played garbageman.

Dude. As the team gets better, you need to change your expectations. Good teams lose. You need some more self respect.
Haha, well played. And you’re right, we should expect more. To accept less is to say you’re not worth more. We are all worth more than what we’ve gotten historically from the cardinals. Now that their winning we should hold to them THAT standard. Not the standard of drek they’ve given us over the decades. You’re learning!
