GREEN BAY – Another Green Bay Packers role player has signed with another team.

Cornerback Corey Ballentine, who has played in 37 games with seven starts in his three seasons with the Packers, signed with the Indianapolis Colts on Friday, according to the NFL club.

Ballentine has mostly been a special-teams player since joining the Packers as a practice-squad player in September 2022. However, he stepped in late in the 2023 season and started six games when cornerbacks Jaire Alexander and Eric Stokes were injured.

He had 28 tackles, an interception and six passes defended that season.

On special teams, Ballentine was a regular and had 12 tackles and two forced fumbles during his three seasons. Last year, he ranked sixth with four special-teams tackles and had the only forced fumble.

Ballentine is the sixth player the Packers have lost in free agency, joining nose tackle T.J. Slaton (Cincinnati), center Josh Myers (New York Jets), cornerback Eric Stokes (Las Vegas), running back AJ Dillon (Philadelphia) and linebacker Eric Wilson (Minnesota).

The Packers' remaining unrestricted free agents are tight end Tyler Davis, tackle Andre Dillard and cornerback Robert Rochell.
