heh ... i really like kasper .. was upset that seattle had to cut him last year .. would of made a nice #5 receiver/return man this year .. but they needed help elsewhere due to injuries so he was cut
i hate boldin being a hurricanes fan, but he is pretty decent .. don't know too much about the others
however i do know they are inexperienced and inexperienced WRs usually have a tough time in their first year or until they actually gain experience (i.e. a veteran who was a reserve without many reps now starting)
biggest hole on the cards that i see is in the secondary though
anyhow, simmons is 1/10 analysis, 4/10 comedy and 5/10 rambling about movies, gambling and the good life

I thought it was hilarious actually. I actually like the part when he says that we're going to go 1/15. Now we can prove him wrong.
Why is it that the hacks and pundits get to keep their jobs when they are wrong? Coach Mac will remain with the Cards and Rod Graves will be executive of the year. We should flood ESPN this year with letters demanding the ignorant hacks be fired for such poor performance!

Part of the reason for the national bias about the Cards is that lazy national writers tend to rely on local beat writers for their info.
Our guy is a cup 3/4 empty guy.
The beat writers in the other 31 NFL cities tend to be homers.
So each week, when the national writers compare the local newspaper articles from all 32 cities, the Cardinals always come out sucking hind tit.
Note - not that John Clayton is "lazy", but he did make a comment on KDUS that he seldom got to AZ, because the flights from west to east were more direct from Seattle than from AZ. I do believe Phoenix is considered off the beaten path for national writers making the trip back and forth from east coast to the midwest to the west coast (& vice versa), so those writers seldom visit here to get the real story.

Say what you want about Simmons, but he hits Mac right on the head with his final comments:

...when it comes to writing a sports column, with teh refreshing combination of analysis AND comedy, there is no one better than Bill Simmons. Granted, he is certainly not giving the Cards much credit with his prediction of a 1-15 season (and that no Cards WR will start on any fantasy team in the nation all season), if you read his columns consistently you would realize that he can be freakishly accurate at times.
That being said, while I think we all realize that some of the players must tune out Coach Mac's elongated proverbs at times, I think the overwhelming majority do "buy" into his enthusiasm and overall gumption.
This team has much more heart (and talent) than the vastly myopic media (and their 1-15/3-13 predictions) gives them credit for and will prove this fact beginning on Sunday. Go Cards!
