Welp, that answers that. I'm happy he didn't take a long time to decide.

Thanks for the past few years of hard work and grit, Carson.

Time to start figuring out how to rebuild the QB room. I wouldn't be against trying to bring back Stanton, since he's been the consummate teammate.

Wow, but not a surprise with BA leaving. Makes sense & will save us some cap money.
Had some good years with the Cards, class act.

Thanks for being a total pro Carson. You led us to easily the most fun any Cards fan ever had in a regular season with that 10 game winning streak and your spin-around throw to Fitz in the Packer OT game.

Always a gamer and tough as nails!

folks can say what they will regarding Palmers success on the field... the man has always been a class act and a fierce competitor.
We were a better team for having Carson Palmer at QB and I really hope SK has what it takes to replace him adequately.

Carson Palmer has announced his retirement from the NFL after 15 seasons.

Palmer turned 38 last week. "Over the years, I’ve had teammates who decided to hang it up and I would ask them how they knew when it was time to walk away," Palmer said in a statement. "The answer was almost always the same: You just know. For me that time is now. Why? Quite simply, I just know." It ends a long, strange trip of a career. The 2002 Heisman Trophy winner at USC, Palmer was the No. 1 overall pick of the 2003 draft, but spent the entire year behind Jon Kitna on the bench. Palmer's career rapidly progressed after that before a devastating knee injury in the 2005-06 postseason. Palmer was never quite the same, though he was a second-team All-Pro for the Cardinals in 2015. Somewhat bizarrely, Palmer also quit on two separate organizations, forcing his way out of Cincinnati and Oakland. He finally found a home with the Birds, who are at square one as an organization without a coach or quarterback.

Just projecting this year so far to that third domino that will now surely fall...
Larry was here long before Carson and BA... he wont tie his fate to them,...he will make his own decision.
I would bet money Larry surely comes back if SK or MB tell him we need him for one more year...also,....I think the guy still enjoys playing every week

Good player, I was glad he was a Cardinal. Hope he has a happy retirement.

Selfish me wants another year of Fitzgerald though...hope this doesn't make his retirement inevitable now.

MJ says he's hearing Fitz will be back. I think if we don't hear a retirement announcement in the next day or two, he's coming back.

Good luck in your retirement Carson. Wish you the best of luck.

Now the FO knows what needs to be done.

I wonder. If we draft a first round QB (but like the 5th one off the board), fail to impress in FA with rejuvenating the OL, and bring in a defensive-minded HC, does Fitz still want to stick around? I think he sits back and waits no matter what he is feeling right now.
