The best place is in the neighborhoods to the east of the Stadium. You can park on 4th or 5th Street just east of Campbell Avenue. Best of all it's free!!!

The problem
Park in the neighborhoods and walk down to the mall to enjoy the tailgating.
I would never live there but Tucson isn't as bad as the mental midgets in Tempe make it out to be. Good weather (better than Phoenix), good looking girls, underrated restaurants, fun and cheap bars, nice resorts, golf, etc. A more than acceptable place to spend a football weekend in October.

Lindy's on 4th has some amazing burgers, Che's lounge on 4th has CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP drinks, Club Congress is also fun on Sunday nights, BisonWiches is great for sandwiches, Brooklyn Pizza is great and they deliver 6 packs.

I recommend you stay at the Marriott, it's on campus and there are great places to eat drink, like Gentle Ben's and Frog and Firkin. both are right next to the Marriott. The walk from the hotel to the stadium is about 10-15 minutes and the tailgating is all centered in the middle of the campus.
