NFL teams have a chart that charts the value of each and every pick. They use it to judge if they are losing value by a trade, keeping value equal, or gaining value.
For the Cards to trade, the Jets better give AT LEAST 2 #1s. I might be happy if the did a trade like: 13th pick+ 2 2nd rounders.
I found a Draft Pick Value Chart on a website, can't say how accurate it is but here we go.
Round 1
Pick 1 3000
Pick 2 2600
Pick 3 2200
Pick 4 1800
Pick 5 1700
Pick 6 1600
Pick 13 1150
Pick 22 780
Pick 31 600
Pick 32 590
Round 2
Pick 33 580
Picks 34 thru 60 go down 10 for each pick
Pick 61 292
Pick 64 270 Last pick in RD 2
Round 3 Pick 65 265 1st pick in the Rd
Picks 66 through 90 go down 5 for each pick
Pick 91 136 and 4 points less for each pick through pick 103 which is the 7th pick in rd 4
RD 4 starts at 112
ends at 44
RD 5 starts 43
ends 28.4
RD 6 starts 28
ends 15.6
RD 7 starts 15.2
ends 3
So you can take this for what it's worth but I think we all know that the 6th pick is worth more than the 31st and 32nd picks in the draft. If we get the Jets 13th and 22nd then we are getting good to great value but their 13th and their 2nd we are losing value.
Sorry I don't remember where I found this chart.
If the Jets love a player at #6 then they very well may over pay to get him.
QB's will also often throw the values on this chart off some to quite a bit as well.
So for the Cards to move up to #1 they should, in theory have to come up with 1400 points worth of picks.
To move up to #3 they need 600 points worth of picks which would be our 2nd and maybe TJ
To move up to #4 we only need 200 points which is our 3rd and the Bears would have to give us a 5th rder back. Throw TJ in and we could get a 4th rounder back.
Have Fun.
