I didn't see the game. The stats on pass defense looked unfavorable. The balance on offense between rushing and receiving looked good for Cards !! Since we lost Aeneas our secondary seems to unachieve. Can someone step it up ?

kps ... this is one of those games where stats can be majorly misleading. The only good drives that they had against the cards defense passing wise was (1) at the end of the first half and the cards went into prevent and kordell went like 6 for 7 with a TD and (2) when Chandler (who is basically a starter who can't stay healthy) and Grossman went against the cards 2nd string and 3rd string defenses.

The first string defense was totally disruptive and the bears looked like they couldn't do anything against them ... except when they went into prevent.

As far as our starting unit went, I felt they played well. They held off many large gains in any manner from the Bears' offense. It's more an issue that we're playing Eason, Cromartie, and Nelson once the 2nd-3rd defense gets in. They were undrafted this year, and often have miscues.

If Chandler were not so fragile, he would be a starter. He was a Superbowl QB, and faced our back ups. He is not your typical second stringer. He did well against our back ups, and I would expect that. He is a seasoned veteran, not a developing QB.
