Well, we won.
Not a convincing win regardless of the score.Against a team where we should have been the crisp, precise, faster team we looked plodding, clawing, and clunky.
But we got the W.
I guess this just shows that we are what we are.

On the flip, there were several of us around here that were high on Drake Maye in the draft. It looks like he may pan out. Obviously not lighting it up like Daniel's, but it seems the game has slowed for him already and he is reading defenses fairly well.

Overall just a difference in strength of teams - a 2nd tier vs. a 4th tier team. It showed.

Not impressed by the play by us. I did like the scheme much much better. Run blocking was changed for the better and ball was spread more evenly around.

Not a great game by any means but it was good enough for a easy win. I'll take it.

We don't win a whole lot of "must win" games regardless of how good the opponents are. It was a "taking care of business" game and we actually did for once. Now, we at least have a chance to regain that spark we had in October

Herbert-Lite will be an ok QB. He will do enough to keep it interesting. But somehow he always manages to miss just enough throws to not be good enough.

not to mention the Geno smith situation may make our unlikely road to the playoffs a bit easier...the lambs are the biggest hurdle at this point.

of course, we have been their nerdy little step brother for a minute now....

Of course we won. The pressure was gone. I'm worried that our QB didn't have the good game we expected once the pressure was gone. He actually tried to throw this one away, too!

Oh well. Now let's go beat the Panthers.

Not impressed but I will take it. Scored 30 points, run game was effective, we' were 10/15 on third down.

10/15 on third means we absolutely dominated.

The team did what they needed to do which was win.

One more win and they are where I thought this team would be.

8-10 wins with lots of room still to grow. If the Panthers can’t stop the run then we will destroy them as well.

More Benson please

Game was never in doubt. That's always a good thing. Cards in the past would seem to let these teams stick around and then pull it out late. Or just plain get beat.
Unlike years past, Murray actually seems to care and is playing like it. Thing that stinks is he really can't beat you from the pocket and in the NFL, QB's have to be able to beat you from the pocket. I don't see that changing. He's a weapon on the run and I like the Cards ground game but they are limited when it comes to passing.

He's getting to be less of a weapon on the run lately, though, for some headscratching reason. Yesterday he had one impromptu run where he looked awkward and made a horrendous attempt at a cut that failed. Leaves me wondering what's been going on this last run of games, because he was nails running earlier in the season. Crisis of confidence? A hidden injury

I watched the end zone view of Connor’s touchdown’s and Isaiah Adam’s absolutely dominated his man. The first touchdown, Adams delivers 2 blocks and Connor goes in untouched. I really liked Adam’s at Illinois. He was their top run blocker on that 2022 team that almost led the nation in rushing.
