That goes to show just how valuable an elite QB is.

They can do anything, get rid of anybody...and Brady makes it all irrelevant because he just wins anyways.

super jealous

They made Matt Cassel look like an ACTUAL franchise QB!!!

The system freaking WORKS.... end of story.

I'm pretty sure he is. We will never know how he would perform under a different coach/scheme but I would venture to say not as well as he's done with NE.

and Michael Jordan was a system guy too

Lol. Like they are the same comparison. Apples to oranges . Show me any kind of proof that Brady would succeed like he has on another team. Any proof whatsoever to support your theory.

Dont know but without Brady they didnt get any rings
The system work? yes
But the guy even with average receiver was able to put 5000 yards and rating over 100.00.
Brady, hands down, best decision maker in the nfl, plus he got better year by year.
Looks much younger
For example palmer is 35, but from a physical standpoint looks over 40
Brady is 39 but he plays like he is 28

I agree that Brady is a VERY good QB. I'm just not sure he would put up the same stats & have the same success with a different team. I think it's a little of both. Brady & BB were/are a perfect pairing. Cassell put up Pro Bowl numbers in the system & has done squat since. Brady is the best QB to fit BB's system.

What proof do you have that he wouldn't?? The guy is only the best NFL QB in the history of the game. I would guess that the skills he displays in reaching that pinnacle of success would mean that no matter where he played, he would've been great. Would he have as many rings somewhere else? We'll never know...

How many other "great" QB's ever won a Championship(s) or achieved greatness on more than one team?? Are all "great" QB's merely "system" QB's??

Kind of my point 82. There's no way to know either way.

That very well could be. Only a few greats were great on more than one team. Warner was great with the Rams & the Cards but not so much with the Giants. What does that tell you?

Boo, Joe Montana is the best QB in the history of the game... he even beat the Niners as a Chief :)

Cassel didn't put up pro bowl numbers. They were decent.

He put up better numbers in Kansas City.

It tells me that the NFL hasn't ever been and remains so today, not set up to allow for "GREAT" QB's to play on multiple teams. Once a team identifies their QB of the Future and he then lives up to that label, they rarely if ever let him go - and rightly so!

I don't know how anyone can call Brady a "system" QB when that system has changed 3 times over the course of his career.

When they won their first Super Bowl, he was asked to be a care-taker. Their second 2 Super Bowls they threw deep plenty and had a completely balanced offense. When he got Randy Moss, he put up BANANAS numbers throwing a ton of deep shots and the last iteration of the Pats have relied on double TEs sets that dominate the league.

So, what exactly is the "system" I see talked about so much? With Brady in 2007, the QB threw for 49 TDs and over 4800 yards. Without him the next year Cassel threw for 21 TDs.

I posted this in another thread, but all NE most likely receives is the 3rd round comp pick a year earlier. If they would have kept him through the season and he leaves for big money, they likely get a 3rd comp pick in the following year.

It's definitely a move that could backfire in the short term. It's funny cause Patriots were defending the Jones trade because Collins was "more valuable". Now it's Hightower who is more valuable than both lol.

Of course they are. The best players in their respective team sports.

And the systems work because of those guys, not the reverse. Throwing/shooting a ball is the same in any system, its A-B. And they do it better than anyone else.

"System" refers to everything that comes prior to the shot. The shot itself is systemless. And the shot is what made these guys legends.

So far off topic, but I have yet to hear a viable argument against Brady being the best QB of all time.
