Paul Calvisi

Am I the only one who can't stand to listen to Paul Calvisi? I am sure he is a cool guy in person, but he is the most annoying radio guy I have ever heard. He talks is some fake voice, always has these stupid nicknames for himself, and somehow spins every topic of conversation to himself. I have tried so hard to listen to their camp coverage, but heard far more about Calvisi's mustache.

Like I said, I am not trying to knock the guy as a person, just think he is awful and the Sports Interactive show is terrible.

You're definitely not alone! Both he and Doug Franz are brutal...

that whole show is brutal .... that whole station is brutal

everything is so overproduced, everyone has to have a nickname, the actual coverage is pretty weak

it's a bunch of people who love the sounds of their own voice rambling on for hours ..... i was without my XM radio for the past couple of weeks .... thank god it's up and running again

The way he, Doug Franz, and Wolf play off of each-other is incredibly annoying. Fake voices, full of themselves, trying to sound smarter than everyone else, etc. Just awful all around.

I can't speak for Doug and Paul, and altough it certainly does come across that way, Wolf is most definitely not full of himself and he does not at all see himself as smarter than anyone else... He is of course extremely passionate and intense about the finer points of the game played. But I respect his views on the football stuff a ton. Whereas the other two meatheads are simply detestable...

Paul Calvisi is terrible...he thinks he's a cross between Jim Rome and Wolfley. He makes my ears bleed.

Honestly, he makes the podcast almost unlistenable...if it weren't for the information in the podcasts, I'd never listen. Urban and Wolf are ok, but Paul is an uber-dbag.

I like Wolf, don't mind Doug, but simply can't handle Calvisi.

One name that wasn't mentioned here is Dave Burns. I really like Burnsy and would grade him out as my only A.

Um, Asher is the best sports guy on Valley radio. He's not close to Femino, who is the greatest interviewer in the history of Valley radio, but Ash is a strong B+ in terms of actual skills, interview ability, sense of humor, ability to move the show along, and managing an impossible personality as a co-host.

It's all a matter of tastes Matt. Yea, technically Ash can get it done in in the studio, but he's a dolt as far as I'm concerned. Can't believe how many times he's wrong about a certain person or issue. And, for a guy who sits next to a true dolt with a very annoying NY accent, Ash has an even more bizarre accent. Listen the next time he says the word "get". He pronounces it "git", and that drives me nuts!
Personally, I think he adds zippo to the show. Other than moving it along I guess...
