The Boston Celtics are the reigning champs in professional basketball, and among the top contenders to win it all in the 2025 NBA Finals this June. For now, the road to glory still runs through Boston.

There may be reason for concern, even for folks who bleed green. The Celtics fell at home this week to Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Oklahoma City Thunder after faltering in the fourth quarter. Just a few days prior, Boston also dropped a game to the visiting Cleveland Cavaliers. Both OKC and Cleveland sit higher in the standings, and their recent successes against the Celtics have ignited concerns that Boston might not be a sure bet to raise another banner this season. Hall of Famer and Celtics great Paul Pierce recently outlined his feelings on how Boston has fared against other contenders.
