Moses Brown of the Mavericks was signed a week ago to a ten-day contract.

He had 20 points and 11 rebounds tonight for the Mavericks as a starter.

If there is apathy, I'm looking at the Suns front office and ownership first, then look at the coaching next.

There are plenty of things to knock this brain trust for, but I don't know that I can bash on them for not going after a guy who is on his 9th team in 5 seasons and has career averages of 3 and 2.

Well they need to get some more help inside. Are anyone working on that? Other than that, focus more on the defence. Run back, Durant. If we're not all back they will find the open shooter. If players are not putting in effort then get Dunn, Gillespie and Washington Jr some more minutes.

Sarver is loving this
$arver was trash, but fan boy Jerry Jones Jr destroyed this team with his crush on Durant. Durant must be cancer in the locker room because this team has been pretty much no fun to watch since his arrival. Might as well trade Booker because Durant has sucked the desire and fight out of him. Booker looks like just another check casher at this point. Beal is the ultimate trash, no wonder DC never won anything in his time there

If this is not rock bottom I don't know what is. Oh and Mr. Glass strikes again. I will say it again. Bradly Beal is one of the worst trades in Suns history.

End of the third KD had a clear chance for a half-courtish heave off a stop, passes it off instead so his shooting numbers were preserved.
I watched a whole video on how veterans heave the ball a half second too late in regular season games so fans don't get upset, but they don't mess up their stats. It's a thing.

I haven't seen the video you're talking about but I've watched this game for many decades and I've seen plenty of evidence this is mostly accurate. But, for some, whether they do or not take that risk often depends on time and score. For some though, they just won't risk hurting their stats with a last second prayer no matter how badly we might need it.

The Beal trade is no where near as damaging as the Durant one.

And it’s going to get much much worse before it gets better.

I disagree because we are going to get assets back when we trade Durant. Beal's contract is not only dead (NTC) but his performance on the court doesn't match his salary because Mr. Glass is injured all the time.

The point is not sitting on a weakness. I've been clamoring for the Suns to shore up the 4/5 all season.

Looking at stats and doing nothing is not an option.

There have been plenty of veteran free agent big men that might have helped the Suns if they explored it. And I don't see any evidence of it, especially after the trade deadline.

You don't see Dallas sitting on their hands and they've lost a lot of big men.

We’ve been active, only every move seems to make us worse. Similarly, Dallas seems to have been active in a self destructive way as well.

Dallas is still winning despite a bone headed trade. The Suns are not. That's a big difference. They have been proactive trying to solve their problems.

Adding Richards was deemed only a temporary patch. Who replaced Nurkic?

If the ship is sinking, I think the Suns FO should be scrambling to keep it afloat.

Sort of. We have been active within the constraints the team put on themselves. I think @Mainstreet was one of the very few here clamoring for another 4/5 before the Beal trade. That may have made a difference. Instead we traded for redundancy, a dead contract (NTC) and Mr. Glass. A triple whammy move.

After the Durant trade our only assets were some pick swaps and Chris Paul’s expiring contract.

We paid so much for Durant that we were never going to be able to build a proper team.

Yet the team has managed to figure out moves all along the way. Even shocking us by turning a single asset into multiple. The Suns definitely tied their hands with all the assets they gave up but I think Main's point was maybe post the Durant trade we went after the wrong guys or made impulsive moves. Other moves for other players may have made this work. I think Beal was nothing more than a "splashy" trade to get another big name in here regardless of it actually fitting a gap we actually had.

There is no one of starting caliber available with the assets at our disposal.

Dallas only signed that guy because they’re down to their fourth string. When players come back they will probably release him.

I’m not sure what moves they’ve made along the way that have yielded anything positive.

We’ve scraped the bottom of the barrel and gotten bottom of the barrel results.

If you’re referring to the jazz pick trade, that was just digging the hole deeper. We gave up a future pick that we will desperately want back when 2031 rolls around for some heavily leveraged picks that we quickly figured out are essentially worthless as trade pieces.

There have been a number of vet minimum big men that were available all season. I was using Dallas as an example. If they perceive a problem, they try to fix it.

When the trade deadline passed and all the Suns did was add non-contributors even with a first round pick, I was very disappointed.

Are you happy with just Richards and Plumlee as your centers? I hope not.

There have been big men available all season that might have helped the Suns, but they didn't act on it. Damion Lee is sitting on the bench, so the Suns could make room.

I don't recall who was available for each move but we do know chemistry and the right mix of players matters. I agree with Main about the 4/5. I was hammering the Suns prior to the Beal trade to get another legit 4/5. Maybe nobody was available at that time but maybe they should have waited for their next move. I am convinced a different combination of players (instead of Beal) or another legit 4/5 could have made a difference.

No, I’m not happy with this roster at all, but this is the bed they made for themselves. I don’t think any of these minimum guys that have been out there in free agency would make any difference whatsoever in our trajectory.

I think coaching is the more immediate issue with the team, but I could compile a list of big men that were available for the minimum that might have helped the team. However with all due respect, I'm not going to do the homework for you. I mention the players when I see them on the forum.

Thomas Bryant was had for a swap of second round picks.
