This defense is night and day from last year. I honestly thought our D was going to get torched on a regular basis but I'm very pleasantly surprised.

I hope Pendergrast doesn't get snatched away from us for a head coaching vacancy somewhere...like when we lost Fassell.

I was thinking the same thing - but since this is his first stint as a DC, I really think he needs to put a few seasons like this together before he gets mentioned as a HC canidate.

Romeo Cronnel and Charlie Weis have been proven coodinators for years and they have yet to land HC jobs.

The only bad thing about our D palying so well is more than likely he will be getting a head coaching job somewhere in the NFL either after this season or next season.

I hate to be the one bringing a bucket of cold water to the party, but I'm really worried about Starks' shoulder. His coverage has been a key part of the D's success thus far.

Agreed.

I heard it was dislocated. Hopefully, he can be back after the bye.

He's pretty young, around 37 or 38. Grew up right here in Tolleson, my wife went to school with him. He was too short to play football at U of A. I can't see him being a head coach at that age.
