Can't wait until our QB has a TE who can lift his hands up to catch the ball
It’s hard to see from an exact frame like this but it’s clear with Witherspoon having begun turning that this is an extremely tight window and not a finesse pass. Ball just needed to be around 1.5 feet lower to Kyler’s left.

Also with these tight windows on this side of the field, the up and down year Kyler has had, and the time of the game and Rams still having a timeout that the playcall should’ve been different. A run play or shovel pass or something more conservative to force the timeout.

Lol… now our likely Pro Bowl TE isn’t good enough for Kyler either.

The Kyler Clan is deranged.
Uh, ok, I guess I gave the Kyler hater club a little too much credit.

Since it needs to be spelled out, what I did was say something equally as ridiculous as what the Kyler hater club said just a few posts before.

I love Trey McBride. This was a fluke play where nobody is really at fault.

Kyler and Trey both had nice games. Two highest graded offensive players.

I hate playing the blame game for either Kyler or Trey on that play. They fought their asses off to get down there with a chance to win and sometimes it's just a bad break.

I bet both feel bad about the play wishing they had another chance. They are not blaming each other. Trey is going to be a very rich man and Kyler helped him get there.

This also funny because in baseball they say to elevate the fastball so hitters can’t catch up to the ball. Same concept here. Elevating a bullet toss makes it tougher for your receiver to catch it.

I understand that a pass that hits a receiver directly in the face is accurate. Anything else you need explained, just ask! I know it's a complicated game when you first start watching.
Right…because two former NFL players, one a pro bowl WR, say it was a bad pass but you know more.

The funniest thing about this is that a lot of former players on tv have terrible opinions. I would take Mika Kimes or Steven Ruiz takes over most of them. It’s worse in the NBA with ex players.

You have to take what they with a grain of salt. They have to do "hot takes" and that involves laying blame even if they know better

I agree with the rest of what @GatorAZ said though.

I remember Shannon Sharpe placing blame on Joe Burrow for not winning a game where he had 4 TDs against the Commanders(or Ravens) despite the defense giving up 842 points lmao.

Inside the NBA guys like Shaq, Chuck, & Kenny openly admitted they don’t even watch the games & still give analysis.

Going off of retired players opinions isn’t always the ringing endorsement some people might think it is.

I agree on opinion items. I tend to view their perspective on specific plays and situations as less biased. When Steve Smith says it was a bad toss…I tend to listen.

Accuracy is different than touch. Ball should’ve been placed more outside with same zip and it’s 6

Are we still talking about the ball that hit Trey's helmet? Because if so part of this that is driving me nuts is why does it matter if it's a bit more outside, Trey did NOT see ball coming because he was being held out of his break. It doesn't matter where the ball was he didn't catch it because he didn't see it. Unless he has spectacular gloves if the ball hit him in the hands he still wasn't catching it because he didn't see it.

I got into the nitty gritty slow down replay off youtube. The rule on illegal contact is 5 yards. LOS is the 5, Trey's left foot was in the endzone right foot was on the line or real close to it, defender had 1 foot in the endzone. So you CAN argue it's close enough to 5 yards that it's not illegal contact. The problem is if you freezeframe it he's still holding Trey after the ball leaves Kylers hand and at that point it goes from illegal contact/holding, to PI.

But it's that contact that prevents Trey from seeing the ball.

To me the only argument here is if Kyler holds the ball a split second longer, Trey might have his head around. But then people have been blasting him for years now for not throwing guys open, that's exactly what he did here he threw the ball before Trey was open, assuming he would be. He was, but because of the contact it's a tick too early

If you hit a guy in the helmet on the route he ran, the ball is behind him. Period.he is clearly reaching behind himself to make a catch.

I don't have a mouse so I can't screenshot it fast enough but he does NOT reach behind himself. He's trying to get his hands UP to where the ball is because when his head turns he sees the ball and is trying to catch it. He's not reaching back he's going UP with his hands.

If the argumetn is low and outside if he doesn't catch it then it's not picked off I get it, but if he does that and it's not caught everyone is going to say why did he do that because Trey IS open, the DB has no chance at getting that ball.

The difference on that ball and the one that Ertz catches to win the Washington game tonight is on that play the throw is between 2 defenders, one to the right of Ertz, and the one covering Ertz who is REALLY close to Ertz. Daniels put it exactly where only Ertz could catch it and Ertz did catch it.
