I'd be pretty interested in taking a look at him, especially if we don't re-sign Pace. He's not the fantastic player he was years ago, but he might be worth a look.

Damn right. Hey, if nothing else, it floods the market just a little bit more. Maybe Pace's price will go down a scosh (sp?)

PFT is reporting that the Detroit Lions have already signed him to a long-term contract.

Hey, this is the same guy who used us to get a better contract elsewhere. He turned us down once already. I don't know why we'd give him a second chance.

Because Graves has shown us in his contractual dealings with sports agents and their players that he has integrity and is a straight shootin' good guy. So he doesn't hold any grudges. :D

I said that he was gonna get cut about two weeks ago in a previous thread, he was goin to cost a ton for no prodution. He cant stay healthy. Pats are gonna trade down and draft Dan Conner. This should come as no shock to pats fans WEEI has talked about it happening right after the super bowl.

We were so lucky not to get Colvin after throwing stupid money at him. Same as Edgerton Hartwell. We lost out on him too, thank God.

Please, please, don't throw stupid money at any FA, ever. Do not give 30 year old Faneca $10 mill per year. No no no.

Colvin is a guy who cant stay healthy.

Ed Hartwell is simply a product of playing in Rex Ryan's D surrounded by some of the best players the league. I warned against getting him when we almost did and people said I knew nothing. One would think some would have learned from that situation to stop thinking Terrell Suggs is God, but most here haven't.

Faneca on the other hand has been healthy throughout his career, is a born leader and there is no concern over him having to learn/adapt to a new scheme.

Who the heck would ever do that? Probably be the biggest contract ever for an OL. Nagannahappen.

Btw, Skkorp, your outright loathing for any player over the age of 29 is narrowminded, to say the least. You don't suddenly become a senior citizen when you hit 30 in the NFL, and it doesn't mean your career is over.

Hutchinson made $7 million a year, I doubt Faneca makes $10 million a year.

I'll bet the Pats are targeting Pace to replace Colvin. He seems like their type of signing. Face it, if RG lets Pace hit the open market,he's gone. When have the Cards EVER competed with the big boys for free agent? Those teams target a guy and get him the first weekend. THe Cards wait for the market to settle and take what's left over. That what gets you 1 winning record in 20 years.
