According to JAson LaCanfora of the NFL Network a few mint=utes ago on, The Arizona Cardinals are Peyton's LAST scheduled visit. This of course going against many previous reports that the Dolphins were set to meet with him last..

He went on to say that his sources say at the moment there is NO scheduled meeting with the Dolphins, and though the Dolphins brass is trying like crazy to set one up, it is believed that will only happened if he is not sold by the Broncos or Cardinals, indicating the Dolphins at the moment (the media's front runner) is actually a distant third.

VERY interesting...

This makes this visit all the more important.. I can honestly say I don't know that I have ever been this excited in the offseason for the Cardinals..

pretty exciting!

That was the case all along... Dolphins have been desperately waiting to hear from Manning camp hoping they can get something scheduled Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday.

really? I must have missed that, because every time I heard anything about the Manning tour it was always reported Broncos, Cardinals, and Dolphins last...

He went on to talk about how the Cardinals make the most sense, and he hears (the same we hear) that the Cardinals are extremely interested in getting the deal done before he leaves, though he will not sign until he gets back to his home in Miami and thinks it over...

That is why Jureki and others can report no contract will be signed, though I think it is pretty safe to assume they will give him a ready made contract to take with him back to Florida..

My heart is doing strange things :p

The Miami thing never made sense to me other than that he lives there.

Miami thing has been blown up by media... no indication Manning is even talking to Miami

Manning's intentions after he visits the Cardinals are not yet clear, however, the Miami Dolphins remain confident they will get their meeting with Manning on Sunday, Monday or Tuesday, but they have not yet firmed up a meeting time, team sources told NFL Network's Jeff Darlington on Friday.

IF true I always thought the timing of the reports speculating that he wants to finish things up by Tuesday morning before free agency starts was a little weird.

I mean if he was going to meet with all three teams then why wait until Saturday night and Sunday to meet with the second team, Arizona? He still meets with Miami and still gets a deal done in time for Tuesday before free agency. The logistics of that seem far fetched or at the least very odd to me. You would think he would want to finish meetings up by Sunday night to have a full day Monday to work out contract details.

I just want all of this to be over before I go back to work. I will get absolutely nothing done if it isn't, listening and reading the same speculation 100 times every hour until it is done and over with.

Another way to read it is that he was so impressed with the Broncos, he cancelled his last visit with Miami. Let's hope that is not the case.

I read it the opposite. The report as written IMO says he never had a meeting set up with Miami in the first place and Miami has been like the report says, "is trying like crazy to set one up".

I am thinking the book is already out on their owner Ross and Manning and a lot of football folks(Harbaugh and Fisher for one) know it, he is more flash then substance.

But then again it could all be wrong?????

Another thought with Miami. Their new coach was GB's O coordinator, Flynn is a guy he spent years developing. I wouldnt be shocked if he would rather get Flynn and run his own system than get Manning, run Manning's system and deal with a ton of "win the SB now" pressure in his first year as HC.

I agree with this...weird.

One thing I keep thinking about, especially after not hearing about in Denver. Are these teams honestly going to offer him a contract without even seeing him throw? IMO I just can't see 80% of the owners in this league doing that even if it's Manning...I wouldnt. Im assuming he has to pass a physical.

I expect the contract will contain a contingency that the deal is off if he doesn't pass the physical.

This about this, while TRUE, I think this is a situation where the new coach wants one thing, but the owner overrules the HC..

Manning may know this too and wants to play for a coach that truly wants him, and backs him.. I am just not sure Manning is Joe Philbin's ideal QB at the moment...

Who knows about the throwing. He may have had some drills at the facility that no one knows about.

My over the top opstimistic hope:

He has no interest in Miami and never has. Bad ownership, 1st year coach, main WR threat is also a major pain in the butt.

He went to Denver because he has the utmost respect for Elway but does not have a real interest in playing there.

Aaaand that he and Larry already worked this out (LeBron and Wade style) several weeks ago over a much discussed quasi-mythical dinner date.

If one is to believe Marcus Fitzgerald's wink, wink, nudge, nudge Tweets of the last few days, that may very well be what happened.

BTW: Andre Robert's Tweet of a few hours ago: Big night for us#birdgang.

I need to go work my beads.

this may be posted elsewhere, but here is an article written by a Miami reporter who claims in order for the Cardinals to sign Manning "they will have to gut their team just to be able to sign him"

Omar Kelly is one of the biggest jokes in the business, good for a laugh at least.. Here is the link

http://blogs.sun-sentinel.com/sport...phins-one-qb-option-comes-off-the-market.html

anyone else catch this article?

Been saying this for weeks.....

In my mind I believe it's been the Cardinals the whole time with Wiz, Fitz, and the winnable division. The rest has been a dog and pony show IMO.

Guess well see if I'm right. don't F--- this up Cardinals by being unprepared or low balling him.

And this is another main reason PM wasn't the right play. Flynn is the perfect fit there by any reasonable sense of football logic.

Pursuing Manning is douchebag Ross pushing his agenda and its transparent. I told everyone in Fla Ross and Manning are oil and water and it seems I was right.
