Id totally forgotten about Frank Reich as a factor. Between Larry's "dinner" and the Cards signing Peyton's QB coach there may have already been a lot of discussion made with Peyton.

In-case you cant tell I am trying to talk myself into this being a done deal.

I've been doing that for weeks. The other day, I came up with "Peyton will feel comfort knowing that #63 will be snapping him the ball in Arizona, as was #63 snapping him the ball in Indy"

The Reich hire was Arizona's initial "we're effing interested" salvo to the PM camp, in an outside-of-tampering kind of way.

Whether a Larry dinner took place is debatable, but Peyton is a tape junkie - Larry on tape is enough to make him want to come here regardless of sharing a steak. But I wouldn't be surprised at all to hear Larry and Peyton did sit down and talk about what-ifs.

Polian also recommended Whiz to hire Reich, not sure if that's because he thought it would help with Manning or that he's just a good position coach but it can't hurt.

I also bet Wiz not giving in on OC title for Haley was Peyton related too. Cards have been playing this perfect from get go.

Getting the same thought on my end too. Being the third place he's been after being cut (Miami, Denver, then us) has REALLY benefitted us. You know for a fact that Michael Bidwill is getting the same info that we all are regarding what Peyton has liked and disliked and making his accommodations accordingly. Smart move if he hears that the media getting involved kinda bothered him, so he flies him in at night at the Glendale airport, and take a quick trip to the stadium.

EDIT: And it appears I may have been correct! lol By the time I hit send, three posts saying he's reported here!

Fitz is going on vacation tomorrow according to some tweets I read and won't be around. I take this as a very good sign in a way that he didn't have to switch his plans, like the Cards are confident they can get this done w/o him tomorrow.

He never went to the Dolphins. As of this point the only reason he's going to Miami is because he lives there

Of course things can change in a hurry

I meant that by going to Miami, and receiving the press like he did, that reports came out after saying he really didn't like that. Did not mean that he had met with Miami. My apologies for not specifying.

whats going to put pm over the top is, the players have voted that our field is rated best to play on in the nfl. i think that should do it! :) lol

This is the most excited I've been as a Cards fan since that awesome playoff run in '08. I cannot sleep at night as I'm always checking this site and twitter for updates. The next few days are going to feel like the two weeks leading up to Super Bowl XLIII

So awesome... I want this so bad. I'm used to let downs with this team. If this happens I will freak out.

Cards planned it out better. Manning is not a fan of publicity he can't control

Dawg drove him from the airport in his ol' beat up VW microbus...completely under the radar.. no blackhawk helis or spector gun ships could find him. Just after the meetings, text me and we'll all get togheter at the Ocean Club... has a nice ring to it..... I'l have one of their seafood towers. Dawg, throw us a bone when you hear a little sompun sompun...hay... I'head on down and I'll pick up your tab.....hollar

I'd be really surprised if PM doesn't end up a Cardinal. This tour is much like Warner's trip to SF to gauge value, but the money will be the same where ever he ends up and he knows it. He may sign somewhere else, but really the Cards are the best fit.

This is about the opportunity to win and win a lot. And, the Cards will address the O-line if PM signs. FA's will be knocking at their door to play here.

If he is not going to Miami and this article is true, then that means only one thing!!!!

http://www.denverpost.com/paige/ci_20135514/broncos-wont-make-peyton-mannings-final-list

This is a better quote from the article,
Manning, who will be 36 on March 24, wants to play for an immediate Super Bowl contender; in a domed stadium (where he has won more than 70 percent of his games) or a warm-weather city; on a team with a quality defense and superior receivers, linemen and running backs; in a system that allows him freedom and influence; for an organization that doesn't have drama; and in a locale where Manning is the man.
