Cardinals now lukewarm on moving up, cost too high and they wanted Mayfield who will be gone. They are confident in going Bradford/Glennon and will look to address other needs.

Cards never smoke screen, when no QB goes rd 1, how hard will the board meltdown ?

Same ole Cardinals ....... The safe approach. If Keim is comfortable with his two headed monster (Bradford/Glennon) and not willing to do what it takes to get a top tier QB in this draft, there's something wrong. He's afraid of taking a chance and putting his job in jeopardy!

I won't blame the Cardinals for not trading up. It isn't the only way to get a QB and if they don't absolutely love a particular guy, the cost is prohibitive. I mean, if one takes a step back and looks at the bottom line, would it really sound like a good idea to spend a couple/few 1st round picks on the 4th/5th/6th best QB in any given draft?

Yeah sounds like they wanted Mayfield and he will be gone and the cost too trade up , to get him was very high. Glad they cant get him, when Keim is agreeing with the Browns front office lol, that's a bad thing

This. They identified their guy. If their guy is picked #1 overall & you don't have the means to trade up to #1 you move on. You don't pick a guy just to pick a guy.

If true, I'm pleased. Let the meltdown begin!

If there's one QB the team loves and they can't get him, why would they give away picks to move up and get a guy they don't love? Somewhere in the later rounds, there's gonna be a QB who surprises everyone and becomes a respected starter. Lauletta, Rudolph and Woodside are all possibles.

It looks like the Cardinals might have convinced themselves that Bradford is their guy and
that he will stay healthy. That's Fools Gold in my opinion. If Rosen is there after pick 8, stop fooling around and go get him. I don't think it will cost as much as people think if they were to trade up to the 8-12 range. The buzz it would create both locally and nationally would be enormous!

No problem with this, means they actually put value on the QB they want and where. If we just take any QB high, then we become the Titans, Bucs or Dolphins - I am fine with using vet QBs 'forever' as long as we can win.

I don't believe it.

Keim got burned badly last year when it became public knowledge they wanted Mahomes and he is not going to make the same mistake this year

This was written on the wall when Bradford and Glennon signed. First round draft defense.

IF you can keep Slinging Sammy Bradford healthy for the next couple of years, then I'm okay with passing on a QB today.

The success we've had with Warner and then Palmer supports the strategy of bringing in high-quality, "older" veteran QBs. It's worked, really, really well, twice. A ring was in sight both times.

Take the picks and build the defense, because that's what's going to put hardware in the trophy case anyway.

Before you rip me though, let me say that I'm really skeptical about Bradford staying healthy, really skeptical about Keim using our 1st round pick well, and I would do what it takes to move up to get Mayfield.

I totally agree. If Bradford stays healthy, they have a chance to do well this year. BUT, we all know Bradford staying healthy all year is like snow falling in PHX. Very unlikely. ;)

With the number of holes they have Bradford is their only chance at this year’s or likely next year’s playoffs. They can’t give up that many picks. If someone drops the game changes. I think they stay put and take McGlinchey. A CB is also possible, but keeping Bradford healthy would be priority one.

It snowed my Freshman year at ASU 1998. If Bradford stays healthy and leads the Cards anywhere I expect the city to lose theirs minds just as much as they did when it snowed.

I still remember it wasn’t even sticking and everyone forgot how to drive. Lol

Noise or no noise, they were never, ever trading up to nab a QB. They aren't taking one in the first 2 rounds, either.

No, no, a thousand times no. Warner > Palmer, and Palmer is >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Bradford. There's absolutely no comparison. True, Palmer wasn't on Warner's level, but he'd been a damn good NFL QB. Bradford is a washed up never-has-been. How can you possibly try to equate them?

Washed up never has been? We must watch football differently cause that's just absurd

This is the aggressive QB game plan. Overpay for an injury prone QB then make loads of excuses why you couldn’t get a QBOTF and draft a WR that wouldn’t be rated as a 1st rounder in any other draft class
