Cleveland is the only place that is a backward step for the fired HC of the AZ Cardinals.
LOL.
I kind of think that Cleveland would be an intriguing job. The division is there for the taking--kind of like how the NFC West was when Whis came here. Pittsburgh's defense is in decline, and their offensive line is a mess. Cincinnati can't build anything sustainable and will fire their coach in the next two years, and the Ravens are on the verge of having to re-tool around their aging defense.
People joke about Whis liking to draft WRs, but isn't that exactly what Cleveland has to do? They have the OL, the running back, and (I'd bet) the kind of QB that Whis would be able to work with. They have the pieces on defense to make a quantum leap in the next couple of years.
The Cleveland job is/should be way, way more appealing than the Jacksonville or Buffalo jobs, because the path is clear for almost immediate success.
