Personally, I like the Orange jerseys.

I am not sold on the orange, I know it was done in concert with the "Home Depot Home Opener" as a tie to the Corporate Sponsor. Someone had run across a "mockup" on Ebay that was primarily gray with the orange side panels, I prefer that version if the gray was a couple of shades darker.

There are now 3 teams that have orange uniforms, GS (alt), Charlotte, and Phoenix. It was ok when we were the only team but there is too much orange and it does not show up well on TV.

Road purples are the best combination.

I have an Amare and Nash in Orange. I like them both but I do like the white better.

Ok, now this is really getting away from X's and O's... but the floor they put in for '04-'05 is the best looking one I've seen in any arena since '87.

This concludes Section 11's abbreviated design critique. Thank you for participating.

So far the orange road jerseys were exceptionally bad luck. Remains to be seen if they will do better next time out. I prefer the purple by far, anyhow, and the white. The orange is my least liked jersey.

I dislike the Suns' orange jerseys but I bet their opponents love them.

I don't have any stats, but it seems the Suns have a greater losing percentage while wearing orange than their other color jerseys.

I believe the Suns were even wearing orange when Nash got hurt.... this color jersey definitely gives me bad vibes. I like the purple and gray road jerseys.

Yea my opinion of the orange jerseys went down hill after they went 0-5 on the last road trip that they wore them.

Ok, so they tend to lose with them on.
And most people think they're ugly.
And they reek of corporate America.

Other than that though.... They're solid, eh?

I would like the orange 100% better if the trim on the sides were purple and not grey. Grey and Purple is ugly in my book. The orange concept is good, but nothing can be done about it now since the NBA has rules in effect that limits jersys, and the use of them.

The throwback jerseys they wore in the Milwaukee game 2 years ago were by far the best. They should go back to those...

I was just getting ready to write the same thing. I really hope that their next jerseys look something like that.

Exactly.

I wouldn't mind seeing them in puke green if they went on a 10 game winning streak.

Some of you guys want to live in the past. The type font of those jerseys are from the "Old West". Do you think that they would sell well in the "urban market".

The current jerseys just need one tweek and that would be to reduce the amount of gray outside the orange piping on the shoulder straps. These are the best uniforms in the NBA and several teams have tried to copy, Utah, Memphis, Seattle (to some extent), Dallas, Orlando, Houston. Once Pheonix lead the way going back to sewn on letters from screen printing and adding piping the rest of the teams I mentioned followed.

Here is that prior thread with the gray jersey

The alternate jersey should be a deeper (charcoal) gray body with purple side panels and orange piping. Orange should not be a primary body color, that should be exclusive to the Phoenix Mercury.

Woah! A man with serious style!

Regarding "Old West" - a couple years ago, Baseball Weekly had a cover with Mark Grace, Steve Finley, and Gonzo dressed in genuine Old-West gunslinger gear - leather dusters, chaps, etc - rifles and revolvers in hand. They looked deadly serious, and it was a very cool picture. I could see Nash, Amare, and Shawn pulling that off beautifully. Old West might not be such a lame idea, done right.

If Cowboys are your target market, good luck making money selling your products. Sorry but I am in sales and marketing and you sell to the masses not the classes and the western look only fits a small segment of the market.

I like the Orange jerseys, better than the other road jerseys, at least.

I try not to be superstitious, though. :p
