Wow. That is some hefty praise from Whiz. I may have to eat my words on Hall. I will be happy to do so.

If for some reason Hall doesn't become a starter in this league, it won't be because of his size...
But I do see this kid getting his shot one day - maybe this year - and when he does, there will be no turning back. Once he steps into that roll, he'll hold onto it for a long time to come.

Every so often you get a kid that is very special. I think this kid has got IT! You don't learn IT. You don't find IT. You are born with it. Singers children are born to sing. Actors chidren act. Hall plays football.

Even though Hall doesn't display a cannon arm, there is a big difference between some decent NFL arms based on footwork. A QB that will go unnamed wouldn't have the right footwork and launch a deep ball that lands 5-10 yards short.

Max Hall, has great footwork and knows how to put momentum behind his balls. Add in quick recognition, and suddenly a mediocre arm can make throws like a pretty strong arm. Hall consistently puts what he can on his throws, meanwhile some other qb's don't, and their mediocre arm strength drops down to pathetic in those scenarios. Hall has little drop off because of how he can get himself almost instinctively into the right position to throw. I love that.

I found this spot on in the article.

"True story: Whisenhunt was likely to keep Leinart around this year, and to keep Hall on the practice squad for the year, until he saw him in offseason camps and in this summer's training camp. He thought Hall was certainly ready to play now, and more suited to run the offense than Leinart was after three years in Whisenhunt's offense."

How is it this guy was missed by all 32 teams for 7 rounds in the draft?

I am coming around on Hall. However, I still think we are jumping the gun a little bit. We are already acting like he is a franchise QB. He still hasn't taken a snap in a real NFL game.

I agree, and think Anderson had better not make to many mistakes or Hall will get his chance sooner than later.

Where are the Peter King is a dolt, etc. repsonses? I still say he's a dolt and is a horrible judge of football talent. I still remember his on the radio saying the DB from Miami, Buchanon?, that was drafted by the Raiders a few years back supposedly being the best CB to enter the league in years and was, hands down, the best player in the draft. I remember because he was so blatantly saying that every team that passes on this guy needs their heads examined.

Doesn't apply here as he is praising one of our players. :)

Not true. That was never said of Leinart. I have to admit though, that I thought Plummer had "it". Turns out that Plummer couldn't avoid the boneheaded decisions he made.

i remember specifically readin that about Matt his rookie year.

Thanks for the link. I'm passing it along to my nephew who took to his bed when he found out we'd dropped Matt. Maybe this will help bring him around.

It most definitely was said. That was the whole attraction about him. No one ever said he had a cannon for an arm.

All of these allude to Matt's composure, leadership, and having the so called "it" factor.

Now he is known as the opposite of these.
