It's easy and safe. Unfortunately it also generally results in punts and field goals. In order for our run game to work and score points against most teams we need some sort of threat downfield and Leinart has shown he's either unwilling or afraid to throw the ball for more than 15 yards. That's why Whiz has benched him. That and his overall crappy attitude.

:bang: Why did you have to make me think of 2005!?! When Rackers kicked 40 FGs and the Cards scored only 2 rushing TDs.

take what the defense gives him it not good enough, 9-10 isn't good enough, that preseason game last year you know 300+ yard come back in the 2nd half isn't good enough.

Matts past the headgames, Its a sad day for Cardinal fans. I'm sick of this He's motivated, He works hard, He plays fantastic, He's gotta go,

THESMEL, never get hung up on a particular player. Root for the team and let the chips fall where they may.

Yea why is everyone defending Leinart who against Tenn completed about 70% of his passes and yet didnt get 1 first down...and then says he has better stats. Listen ANderson may not be the best choice but I will take the 55% completion rate and nice yardage over 70% completion rate and hardly ever move the ball.

Except Anderson's yardage stats don't back up your claims.

Ok 4 for 6 I thought he was 6 for 7....but the point is everyone is bringing up his completion percentage....

Yeah that sure is more important than getting a first down on three different possessions. But Matt thinks he outplayed DA. Go figure.

No way any NFL player says "buffalo nickel"
Maybe he's a coin collector. Some football players have interesting hobbies. To a Numismatist, Buffalo nickels are right up there with Indian Head Pennies, Mercury Dimes, Ben Franklin Half Dollars, and Morgan Dollars.

Now if he had said a Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle, that would be a different story...:D

(Yes, I just outed myself as a coin nerd)

I personally have a weakness for half dimes.

We ran the ball four times on those three possessions and they were all four a loss. The Titans blitzed on 4 of the 5 passes and had a guy come in scot free on three of them. So, I saw that as a unit failure, not just on Leinart. In fact, I was cussing the line watching that live it never crossed my mind to cuss out Matt.

But, maybe Matt set the team up wrong, didn't audible when supposed to. Who knows? But, eyeballing it, the line looked inept not the QB.

I'm willing to bet there is a 99% chance that is the problem right there.

Lienart had trade value -Seattle before Whitehurst,Raiders,Browns. Its the same as letting Plummer and Boston go for nothing.Whiz is better than that.Football with DA and two rookies, say it aint so.

Leinart had his opportunity on 3rd and 1. He had a size mismatch on the outside in single coverage, and couldn't put the ball even near enough to Stephen Williams for him to make an attempt at the ball. That is a play that our starting QB, who ever it may be, has to make.
