Here are Peyton's recent numbers @Den

2010 27-43 325yds 3 TDs 0 INT 109.2 QBR

2006 32-39 345yds 3TDs 0 INT 129.2 QBR

He plays pretty well there.

And his numbers at UOPS would also draw him the Cards.

Can't imagine PM stipulating the signing of former teammates, but, could see Denver or Miami throwing this chip in. This, however, could be seen by PM as more desperation than sound football business decisions.

Again, if his package comes in at $20M per year or less, the Cards can manage this with a few creative moves and still answer some other pressing needs in Free Agency.

We need another WR (Garcon or Wayne) & we could cut Heap & sign Clark. Voila! He has 2 players he's familiar with and we fill the #2 WR need and get a more healthy TE....

Prefer Garcon over Wayne because of age, and if you check you'll find that Clark is not the player of old.

Again, didn't think he wanted to or the Cards wanted to bring him around with all the camera's at the flag football tournament today.

Per recent re-tweet from MJ, Possibly the Cards Private Jet scheduled to leave for PHX out of Denver tonight. Meeting looks to be happening tomorrow.

November and December because the cold weather is causing him to have a stiff neck?
Not many. With the exception of the occasional cold front/storm, Denver is usually pretty nice in November/December. It's Jan/Feb/March that give us most of our winter.

Brian Baldinger is on Sirius right now and says Arizona makes the most sense, has the most to offer and he thinks he's going there. Andrew Bogush agreed with him as well.

Update of sorts:

ESPN reporting Manning visit to Denver is complete. There is private jet listed back to Miami at 3:00.

Again I don't think Manning would sign without exploring all options. Cardinals, Dolphins. Now private jet listed to Phoenix at 7:00.

Don't know for sure Manning's travel plans. Just passing along private jet schedules from Centennial that are relevant.

Why would he fly all the way back to Florida and then turn around and fly back to Arizona?

The biggest question Cardinals have to be able to answer is not how they can make the cap work, I don't think that will be a problem seeing several maths allowing up to 30+ million freed up fast, but how will they be able to protect Manning...

IMO, that is the biggest thing they better have a solid plan to discuss with Manning.

They better be able to "protect themselves" also, just in case his injury recurs or becomes problematic!

I'm sure that will be discussed and most likely part of the contract.

I agree, but from all accounts he didn't even throw for the Broncos. I would assume he took a physical, but it should would be more assuring to see him throw.

I heard (and you never know how much of what is out there is true or not) that they didn't even give him a physical, he just brought his medical reports. It's a red flag for sure.

MESA! :thud:
Haha, OMG ae you kidding me? That is nearly perfect weather.

Do Arizonians (?) consider 65 and sunny to be cold?

If it was 65 and sunny over here today I'd be playing 36.
That weather report came from Denver...that was his point. The weather in Denver was damn near perfect, and the weather in AZ won't be so much better as to sway a decision.

I lived in Denver for 5 years. We had a big snow storm on Halloween.
Its snow country and storms can hit during football season starting late October.

Team sources tell FOX Sports' Jay Glazer free agent Peyton Manning will fly to Arizona to meet with the Cardinals on Saturday evening.

Glazer reports Manning will meet coach Ken Whisenhunt, but it's safe to assume other key Cardinals figures will be in attendance, including Larry Fitzgerald and perhaps even Kurt Warner. The Cardinals were reportedly prevented from meeting with Manning on Saturday afternoon due to a conflict with a Warner charitable function. With Fitzgerald in place and an offense that can be molded to fit Manning's whims, it's possible Manning will never leave the desert.
