I wouldn't put it past NE to be looking to acquire Q so they can deal Moss on draft day. As important as Moss is to that offense, it makes sense that they'd look to extend their "dominance" (such as it is today) as long as they can by getting value from a player before he just walks away.

JMHO

100% accurate, Pariah. They are no longer enamored with Moss. Welker is a big IF for next year at this point. Edelmen is on the frail side, and is not in Q's league by a long shot. Plus, their TE situation is now a major concern. They LOVE to work the middle of the field and noone is better at it than Brady. Acquiring Q would be a major coup for them.

They can't...unless they have a player like Boldin on the roster.

I guess I can see Boldinin Welker's role, but I cannot see them using Boldin in Moss' role. Moss is way more of a deep threat, right? So if they get Q, tem trade moss, they are not left with much.

This one is going to hurt. Regardless of the contract bs, trade demands, what we get for him, ect, it is just going to suck major balls too actually see Q holding up another team's jersey with his name on the back. Nature of the beast I guess.

So if Welker is an If for 2010, Edelman is frail and you want to trade Moss, Q is the answer? He has more injury concerns than we are admitting to ourselves. The Patriots only trade 2nd rounders for next year's 1st. And Michael Lombardi and Adam Schefter are two of the more accurate "rumor" guys out there. This is a Cardinal pipe-dream.

Been trying to prepare myself for this for the past 2 seasons... still, as you say D, it's gonna suck major balls... :(

The Boldin deal is not done in Baltimore. But as I said, it is close.

Sounds like its close....they have the #25 pick so it would be a low 3rd rounder. Maybe a 3rd and a player?

Its funny how much these rumors always seem to contradict each other. I won't believe anything until a deal is officially announced.

I've felt all along he was going to get traded but never thought it'd be a feeding frenzy the first day of free agency.

Oh believe none of it. But there are certain "insiders" you just learn to trust more than others.

The problem with this 'frenzy' is that it may be from a 4th to a 3rd round pick, not 2nd to a 1st round pick. Where I have come to trust the front office in vet minimum/ near minimum signings and drafts, I do NOT trust them in trades and big ticket free agent signings.

Come on, Graves did make the great trade of getting us Bryant Johnson & Pace instead of Suggs. Outstanding.

I never claimed perfection. But he has been right more than wrong lately IMHO.

Or this could the the perfect nexus of the good and the bad traits.
