Dre Bly out yesterday saying this season was weird because the Cards aren't the best team in the division, we are, we dominated them twice. This division is ours for the next few seasons.

That's a paraphrase the exact quote is in the Mercury News.

I get his point they beat us twice, but we played essentially the same schedule and we're 3 games ahead of them, kind of hard to complain other than look in the mirror and ask why you lost some of the games you lost.

Also found a few guys saying well we beat ourselves today you can't do that (turn it over) against a good team like Philly. They had what 4 turnovers, we had 7 the week before you think anybody on that team believes the Cards "beat themselves" ?

SF is getting better but my main question is the way Singletary coaches it's very hard for me to believe that team is going to be behind Alex Smith as the QB next year. He's so honest to a fault that he can't fool his team, if he doesn't believe in something they will see through it and I seriously doubt he believes in Alex Smith after yesterday.

Yeah, I think the Niners are screwed until they get a real QB. They've gone to this goofy spread offense for Smith, which negates a lot of their best player, Gore. then, in big moments like yesterday, Smith gags. He was HORRIBLE in the first half, the Eagles pretty much coasted in the second half IMO.

LMAO! Those kind of comments always crack me up. You gotta show up for 16 games, Dre. Not two.

Yeah and I see no way he can tell that team next year Smith is my guy. He said that after the game but they won't believe him. He stood there on the field at halftime not letting Smith go to the locker room so he could get in his face and yell "you can't do that" over and over. The whole thing was on camera, I don't blame him for saying that but you can't do it on the field like that because you just completely call out your QB.

Smith had some good moments this year but overall he's 16 TD 12 picks a 78.5 rating and they're 3-5 in games he started and 3-6 in games he played significant minutes.

No matter how you slice it they were 3-3 with Hill as the QB and several of those games were without either Gore or Crabtree. 3-5 with Smith, they had to totally change the offense to make Smith comfortable and it still didn't work out.

They ran out of the shotgun/spread with Hill more than they did with Alex.
Sando pointed it out a couple of weeks ago......

Have we got enough flags to start hanging them in our new stadium? You got to start somewhere.
I find it funny that the Laker/Cards fans give the Suns fans so much crap for hanging WCF banners in the arena?
Isn't it the same thing?

49ers won't do anything until they get a real QB and Frank Gore only has two years left in the tank. Sucks to be a Niners fan.

Ah, yes here it is.....
Fact: Smith seems comfortable from the shotgun formation. The 49ers used the shotgun most of the time against the Jaguars. Overall, Smith has a 95.8 rating from the formation.

Fiction: The 49ers have been more likely to use the shotgun with Smith at quarterback. They might be trending in that direction. In reality, though, former starter Shaun Hill has attempted a higher percentage of his 2009 passes from the shotgun, 49.6 percent to 47.4 percent.

Warner only has two years left also.....so we aren't worried.

Beanie has 8-9 years though.

Unless he leaves football for a couple of years and goes to a commune. Then he can run the rock until he's 40.

Ronin, you know what? I take this back. cardsfanmd is right. There's no need to rub it in your face. I juts personally hate the hell out of your squad, but I shouldn't take that out on you. You're a good dude, and we'll be going through this back and forth for a while it seems, so I'm gonna fall back.....a little.

Big BQ!
As Ive told posts who rip the Niners and singletary, I like, ans believe he's done well. His style WILL work because its genuine, and he's got the Cards # right now. We need to pick up our Beanie Game, and change up our defense somewhat to beat them, outexecute them...

He called him out on the post-game presser as well...
