That doesn't come close to a reason to give up 14 hits to this team.

I'm just validating a general comment about the team.

Our outfield is dramatically worse defensively than last year just by personnel.

Doesn't matter if we come back and win today or not. This season is a full-fledged BUST. The team is poorly constructed, most notably with respect to our pitching (and I use that term very loosely!). Our rotation and our pen are at best, AAA worthy.
While I don't think we can overstate what the losses of Pollack and Peralta have meant this season, the bottom line is that our pitching is absolutely hideous and the chemistry of the team simply sucks balls...

That's true. If I sound jerky I'm just in the game. I get that way in game threads.

Sorry.

The chemistry part is the mystery to me. Our chemistry was excellent last year.

It does. They have for the most part even dropped the drive the bus sign. We have guys with no clue if they're playing or where if they do all the time.

IMHO, losing Pollack and Peralta definitely has played a part in the chemistry issue... But I also think having to rely on turds like Tomas (Lamb is productive but he just doesn't seem like a motivational, fun-loving guy), as well as young guys like Drury and even O'Brien recently, does nothing toward positive chemistry.
And I also am a strong believer that pitching, more than anything else, sets the tone and impacts chemistry. When your pitchers are doing their part and are at minimum, giving you a chance for a W, everyone remains engaged and feels better about "the team"... But, when your pitching sucks balls as badly as ours does, the complete opposite happens. The teams drifts and players begin to question (to themselves of course), the make-up of the pitching staff. To the point where now, our guys can only feel "good" when Greinke is on the mound. That's it! Just Greinke as every one of our other pitchers, starter and relievers, can't be counted on! Amazing...

I agree. I was super bummed when Pollock went down and was praying we could overcome it. Unreal that none (except Greinke recently ) of our starters can get to the 8th!!!!

The "8th"???? Hell, getting out starters thru the 5th would be a good start. Even Archie today, AGAIN, could go more than 6. But of course, the reality now is that if they don't pitch a complete game and keep our relievers in the pen, it won't matter anyway...

Silvino Bracho has an ERA of 8 runs per each 9 innings, he recently gave up the winning home run to Mark Reynolds and now he gives up the lead run. Why is he in the Major Leagues?

Tired bullpen or not, he is not the one.
