The Kevin Love trade was a rare circumstance, you won't see that scenario presented often and on top of that Love was certainly held in higher regard at the time of the trade than Cousins is right now. I think if you guys who are saying it would cost "much" more look around at the cost of trades involving "star" players you'd be surprised.

BTW, with Gay and Casspi I have a hard time to see Warren as a valuable asset for the Kings.

If the Suns want Cousins, their starting offer should have to be Knight, Len and MIA's 1st rounders but I highly doubt that this would be the best offer that the Kings can get for Cousins.
^this. Unless we were to offer Bledsoe and that would defeat the purpose since the whole point is to pair Cousins with his buddy Bledsoe plus no point in trading Bledsoe now when he's taking his game to the very next level.

How is Brooke Lopez a "real center"? He's usually injured and averages 5 rebounds a game.

Brook averaged 17 - 7 last season but the point of my post was when I suggested the trade everybody cried how Len was the second coming and was untouchable. Now people opinions about Len seem to be changing and I would guess the same reasons Ive have about Len. We can trade Len for anybody but I would prefer getting another center back in return.

It's all relative. If you can trade him for value, he's not untouchable, but there's no point giving him away for an overpaid softie.

Should be noted that the Kings have been playing very well since their players only meeting.

Cousins has been going off too so yea the chances of them trading him to any team is slim to none right now.

I agree. Im not suggesting giving him away. Including him in a major player swap for a star player would be best.

And Rajon Rondo has looked like the player he was early in his Boston career. Cousins has played well but Rondo has been the catalyst IMO.

I think George Karl goes before Cousins.

I agree.

Hornacek couldn't keep the Morris twins under control.

Yes, but that's another story. The twins are just not very bright guys (politely said) while Couisins seems a more difficult personality to get along with but I don't think that he has lower IQ than an average NBA player

I'm wondering if Kevin Love can be had more reasonably.

Yes, but Love in Cleveland is a heavy disappointment.

Cousins isn't worth that offer and I doubt Sacramento will see anything nearly this strong.

This strong? Problem is that even this offer isn't that strong at all.

How many players rated ahead of Cousins? Not much, right?

And how many of them can be acquired for that "strong" offer?

You see? Noone.

I think people are overrating him a little. He was dominant 2 seasons ago, no question, but he's not been quite that same player since. He hasn't been as efficient offensively and his defense, which was never stellar, has also taken a hit. He was looking like a top 5 player in 2013, now, I'm not sure he's top 15. He's certainly not in my top 15 list of players I'd like to build a team around.

I'm also not convinced that anyone will be willing to pay full value for him. IMO much of the interest around him is driven by the expectation that he will be offered at a discount. Well, that and the hope that once you get him into a more stable situation he will blossom into the superstar he's shown signs of in the past. I don't think anyone doubts that physically he's capable of entering the MVP discussion.

Not at all.

He was 4th in defensive RPM among all NBA players.

Add the fact that he is an elite scorer and rebounder, he can pass and hit 3's and I don't really see how under solid circumstances and a propriate coach (I'm not sure that Hornacek fits) isn't he a true superstar and a surefure top10 player.

I do think that the he is exactly that kind of talent and fit that the Suns would happily trade all their moveable assets and rightfully so, IMO.

Too bad the heavy majority of NBA teams would do the same.

He is a low efficiency, volume shooter at the pf/c position. That's not good. He is an elite rebounder and I like his defense. He has added the three pointer this year which really bodes well for long term stardom at the pf position. He just really needs to improve his overall shooting percentage. You cannot afford to have a big man shooting in the low 40's.

I'd rather make a run at Horford if/when he's available. I would pass on gutting the team for a possible cancer-type player. Horne is just too soft. I mean if a seasoned coach like Karl gets fired because of Cousins, that says a lot.

Hiring Karl to coach Cousins was such an obviously bad decision that whoever is responsible for it should be banned from working in the NBA ever again.

If Karl is let go by the Kings either now or later in the season I think he deserves a look by the Suns if Hornacek isn't retained past this year. Karl did a lot of good work in Denver during the 2000's. I think he could get more out of this team than Jeff could.

What is about the two of them that makes Karl an obviously bad coach for Cousins? I thought Karl was a pretty good choice for the job, even though they were likely to butt heads a fair bit. For the most part he has done a consistent job of turning franchise's fortunes for the better when he takes over. They also tend to tail off after a few years but right now Sac needs someone to get them headed in the right direction.

If I recall correctly, Gary Payton was not a particularly easy player to coach when he was coached by George Karl.

That was 20 years and at least two bouts with cancer ago. I admire Karl, but his heart isn't in it anymore. Head coaching in the NBA is, from what I've read, and all-out, around-the-clock battle. I thought it was very likely that Karl would make a token attempt to reach Cousins, fail (no matter whose fault), and then decide to make the player somebody else's problem. Reports are conflicting as to whether that has already happened, but if it hasn't already, it's only a matter of time.

It's clear to me that the primary thing missing from this Suns team is a low post scorer. More rebounding would be nice. Low post defense would be good too. Some shooting from outside would be good. But scoring down low is essential.

Scoring down low is overrated and besides that we are pretty good at that.

Show me the low post presence on the Warriors, Clippers, Thunder etc they don't have it. You don't need it.

Winning strongly corrolates with three point shooting, we need to be much better still at shooting the ball.

Although this may be true (health does take a toll) I'm not sure if Cousins feels Karl has mellowed. As you said, Cousins should have known Karl 20 years ago. That would have been something.

Unless the Kings get an offer they can't refuse for Cousins (some team will do it), Karl will probably be the one to go. Personally, if I'm the Kings, I probably take the offer they can't refuse rather than let Cousins run the franchise. The Kings are going nowhere the way they are now.

Bledsoe and Cousins would be an intriguing duo but I really am not a big fan of Cousins and his attitude and effort.
