Im not sure EXACTLY what Johnson will ever develope into. He is still very young, and is an enigma wrapped in an enigma. ;)

I picture him possibly one day become an Allan Houston (when he was in his prime) type of player. A very sweet shooter with moderate skills in other departments. Thats not neccisarily a bad thing either. His shot is just so pure. Look for him to be one of the top shooters in the league in a few years.

Its possible.

I don't know. I can see him becoming a good shooter, but he also seems to me that he can become a player like Rip Hamilton--a guy that can shoot, but he has the body to be a Marion-type slasher as well. Houston actually is an average defender at best, and JJ can actually become quite a good defender given some time.

I like Elliot as an announcer. He knows what he's talking about and isnt biased against either team. (Walton! *cough*) He has a very calm way of talking but isnt boring either.

True about the defense Chap. Johnson is better right now than Houston has ever been. I think their offensive games will be similar though. Houston in his prime was a pretty good athlete.

What the hell is going on with the Suns? They just need to play on national TV every night! And I can say for once that Im LIKING the officiating job by the refs. I cant believe I just said that.

Well, they're letting them play. Making good calls when they need to, and not making calls that could stop the flow of the game.

Fantastic second quarter! Now the Suns need to focus on not thinking that the game is won.

How about Outlaw? 12/7/5 at halftime!

I really like Voskuhl. Sure, he'll never be a star, and he makes mistakes, but he also does a lot of little things well. He shows what good coaching at the college level can do for a player.

Im tellin you. He looks GREAT out there tonight.

Im thinking Marbury/Voskhul = Stockton/Malone.

Heh

But seriously, It seems that Voskhul is the only on on the team that MArbury runs the true pick and roll with, and Voskhul is proving himself more than capable of finishing

Great first half... but Im going out drinking. Go Suns!

Outlaw and Voskuhl's defense completely changed the game in the 2nd quarter.

Another good point. How many blocks or pieces of ball did those two get their hands on?

How does our bench go from being coimpletely anemic to being areal contributors from game to game.

Elindholm, Its nights like this that your assessment that our inconsistency points to us being a not very good club is hard to swallow. I mean, its a totally valid point, but damn! When they play like this, it pisses me off that they donr do it evey damn night!

I think that next season the Suns should and will compete for the 4-6 spot in the west. Amare will have a full year behind him and could be a 18/12/2 type of player. (2 blocks per game) I really think this team next season relies on him. If he plays exactly like he has this season then they will be fighting for a final spot again imo.

What I wish Frank would do is let Amare and Voskuhl play at the same time more often. I think that could be a pretty decent duo. But I actually like the Outlaw Voskuhl duo as well.

Why the hell did Johnson start this lineup. ATLEAST start outlaw or voskuhl. No hustle right now.

Sorry! But let's be realistic. The Suns shot 61% in the first half. No team anywhere in the world can do that on a regular basis. Yes, the Suns played well and got good shots, which they made, but 61% is still outrageous. You know that Detroit is thinking, "They can't keep shooting like this." And they're right.

Williams you idiot...Sit at the end of the bench and shut up. Its such a close game this late in the season and Williams ******* about a call from the bench that was clearly the right call anyways.

Technical.

Here come the Pistons.

What the hell? Did the announcers actually see the replay? Voskuhl might have "helped" Ben Wallace fall, but he slipped and dove, Voskuhl didn't tackle him. And then, Scott Williams--he barely moves on the court, misses shots, then when he's on the bench, he gets a T. Maybe he should just go back to the locker room.

They called a foul on Voskuhl that time?!

Guh.

Atleast Wallace airballed the free throw.

Googs could do as well as Voskuhl, and he certainly wouldn't be any worse than Scott Williams. Besides, we could use his outside shot, don't you think?

The Suns weathered the storm in the third quarter, and at least they're still playing with energy.

Unfortunately, Stoudemire really looks outclassed. When the Suns insisted on trying to get him going offensively early in the third, their entire offense broke down and they didn't get a single decent shot off. Right now, they are better off letting Stoudemire get his points off of garbage, and let the more seasoned players be reponsible for creating.

The main problem I saw was that FJ didn't start Outlaw and JJ at the start of the 3rd. Those 2 have been the difference tonight.

Apparently Frank Johnson has totally given up on Tom Gugliotta and Jake Tsakalidis. Neither of them has seemed significant playing time over the last several games.

I thought the referees were kind to the Phoenix Suns in the first half. That kindness is gone now.

It looks like Amare Stoudemire's foot is bothering him again. He looks like he is struggling up the court.
