I like how the suns keep going inside. I was afraid that without Marbury we wouldn't take it in at all.

Over 42 points in the paint. Considering we having broke 80, thats pretty damn good.

Is there anybody here that is missing the huge difference between Barbosa and Joe Johnson? JJ has been given every opportunity to succeed, and for the most part has been nothing better than a teasing dissappointment. Barbosa comes in, as young and unexperienced as you can be, in a pretty bad situation although he will get a lot of time now, and he has a performance like this. I'm not saying he'll be consistent just yet, but the fire is there. It's simply not there with JJ, no matter how many good games he plays against Snoop Dog and the O'Bannon brothers.

Barbosa isn't there yet, certainly, but he has it. If the C's and D's (D'Antoni, that is) want to be excited about a young player, that fans will also get excited about, it's a guy with a heart bigger than his body. And Leandro has that.

Suns need the 3.

Nice close game under the circumstances. Proud of this effort.

That was two very well drawn out plays though. Barbosa and Jake nailed theirs perfectly, to bad Shawn missed that open look.

And those plays were drawn against a very good X and O coach, and defensive enthusiast in Skiles.

On the other hand, they still can't hit 3's. :(

JJ scored 18 points and had 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Not good enough percentage, but he contrubted.

Hey in aftermath we played extremely well.

We didn't have Marbury or Hardaway for this game...nor Scott williams because of trade

Nor have we had recently Amare or Z

Down to 8 players

And we still almost won

Can we get a hand for JC and BC...well short term at least

We can gut our team BIG TIME in the midst of injuries, and still almost beat a team. If we won we should have been estatic...we lost but we should still see the writing on the wall....AND even though every game is different a team that is 0-12 against the west would eventually win.

But still a team that sucks against an undermanned injury wise in both top talent and medium talent and still pretty much outplay THEIR top talent....Yeah we lost...but have much to look forward too.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here's a statistic that will make everyone feel better:

Until tonight, the Chicago Bulls were 0-12 against Western Conference opponents.

Also, the Bulls have some key injuries as well.

None the less, the Suns proved that there is life after Stephon, even if it did not turn into a win.

Wait a second guys. Are we actually saying that anybody should have expected the Phoenix Suns to win this game tonight? I mean before the trade the Suns were only something like 3-12 against the Western Conference themselves. The Suns are still missing Amare Stoudemire and Zarko Cabarkapa. Amare might be the best player on this team now that Marbury is gone. They also did not have any of the players for whom they traded.

I hate to see the Phoenix Suns lose, and I was cheering for them during this game. However, in the long run. It's probably better that they do not lend games like this where they have a legitimate excuse for losing. It only helps their draft position. I actually suspect that they will be reasonably competitive. Even without Hardaway and Marbury. They are certainly going to have some good frontcourt depth.

I'm kind of hoping you can keep Harvey's minutes down, so that he might be re-signed inexpensively.
