Wasn't it Atlanta that a few years ago had their staff answering the phone "Hello, you've reached the playoff bound Atlanta Hawks..." all season and then didn't make the playoffs?

That sounds familiar. I think they even promised their season ticket holders a playoff appearance, then had to give them partial refunds at the end of the season.

Yep they sure did. That was one of the last years of the AOL Time Warner ownership era. It was back with they still had Ratliff and Reef and I believe Stephen Jackson.

Does anyone else here use Firefox? For some reason this site does not allow me to cut and paste within Firefox. It says that I need to edit my Firefox config file. I've looked for some option to rectify this without success. Is there someone who can help me with this?

I use Firefox and it works great. I have not had the problem you mention.
I started using Firefox when I could not cut and paste insider. Firefox allows me to do that.

Maybe you should uninstall and reinstall, or there is a couple upgrades if you have not downloaded them.

"he [Wilcox] likely would never work with Amare at the same time."

Wilcox may not be ideal along side Amare but that doesn't mean he wouldn't do quite well. A slow moving player with poor hands would clog the middle for Amare but I can see Wilcox and Amare tearing up another team on the offensive end. If its a team where one of their guys is a bit slow moving his feet they'd take turns abusing him. If his replacement is not strong they'll overpower him.

Wilcox's D may be bad enough that he's not a good pickup, I don't know him well enough to argue that point but I'd be tickled to have him on the offensive end. Amare, KT and Wilcox would be a very good trio.

Brian Grant is a poor man's Kurt Thomas at this point. Injuries aside, there's no point in having both of them around.

Maybe the Suns could sign Grant, then trade KT (and a pick, of course) for the best available swingman...

the Phoenix Suns do need depth, don't they? Even if he's not as good as he was a few years ago I still think Brian Grant is better than most anything else the Phoenix Suns are going to find right now.

The Suns need another physical inside defender/rebounder who can shoot. KT's style means he gets a lot of fouls called on him, so the Suns cannot afford to be without another physical guy. The Sun's other bigs are known more their offense than defense.

I guess the joke doesn't carry very well if I don't mention Q by name.

Brian Grant is a lousy backup for Kurt Thomas, btw. What if KT doesn't have the length or athletic ability to guard his man? The Suns will send Brian Grant to the rescue?

you forget Grant was awesome 8 years ago I fully expect him to be as good or better now because I have'nt watched more than 5 games of his but I remember how good he was in Miami and that's what I expect, thus he should start ofver Amare becaseu he has PROVED it. I also saw highlights of Reggie Lewis and Drazen Petrovic we should get them too I expect them to be as good as they were when I saw the highlights.

Gran'ts agent says he's healthy now, which is what agents say. I'd still think the Suns trainers need to get to work now as soon as he clear waivers.

Let's face it, the Suns defense was never agressive enough last season because they lacked depth and inside guys who could bang. KT has a career 3.8 fouls per game, so the Suns could not afford to be without someone who could put in the minutes.

No, the Suns will just have to score more. ;)

I was using Wilcox as an example. He is available from the Clips and would be a starter on a lot of teams right now. With Eldon Brand there he will not get the minutes and the Clips are wanting to move him. Gooden from the Cavs is another big that would be available, the same as Jackson may be available.

I am not sure why you said he could not play with Amare, Wilcox can play center or power forward.

The suns need a big man and if you know of one that is available say so. Gooden and Wilcox are available. There may be players you want, but that does not mean you can just trade for them.

as long as wilcox does think he can come in here and score, we don't need another low post scorer.
