Was thinking about two trades that got a lot of talk this summer. The MEM deal bringing up the idea of Warrick being Marions replacement if we had to move him, and AK trade bringing us a bit more defense in the areas we need.

This Trade Succeeded! Go back to adjust your trade or start over.

I may be the first to say this but..

I'd much rather get Brewer than Millsap.

Millsap is a type of player that benefits a lot from Utah's system. He is not a player that does well because of his own amount of talent. He is tailor-made for Jerry Sloan and may be the next Malik Rose but for the Suns free-flowing offense that needs players that are very talented offensively he is not a good fit imo.

Besides he is very undersized also. I'd rather get a multi-skilled talented project who can defend like Brewer even if that is adding another 2/3 type player.

And MUCH rather than that I'd like to get Warrick. He is a Suns type PF. Can do a lot of the stuff Marion does although not nearly as good right now but has a lot of size on him. He may be capable of starting for the Suns at the 4 which would enable us to trade Marion for Miller/Warrick etc because Miller would start at the 3 as he can't replace Marion's role.

The only (realistic) trade I want right now is Marion+ for Miller/Warrick/Swift. I want Marion gone so bad and have for a long time, but there is nothing else out there that is reasonable in terms of salary and value....

I think the only way that might be realistic is if Gasol starts griping again about wanting to win now. Rumor is he'll be playing more center for them this year, presumably to make room for Warrick, who looks very promising. So for them to give up on Warrick for a short-term fix would make sense only if the short term were to suddenly become a big priority for them.

Suns trade:
Marion/Banks/Pike
Suns get:
Kirilenko/Warrick/Lowry/Stoudamire

Jazz trade:
Kirilenko/Brewer
Jazz get:
Miller/Swift

Grizz trade:
Miller/Warrick/Lowry/Stoudamire/Swift
Grizz get:
Marion/Brewer/Banks

---------------------

leaves us with a lineup of:

Amare/PJ?
Warrick/Diaw
Andrei/Hill
Bell/Barbosa
Nash/Lowry/Stoudamire

No way I'm participating in a deal that lands the Jazz Marion and Miller. Dang. We actually want to beat the Jazz, right?
