Last inning should shatter the myth of Trumbo providing protection.
Tie game, 8th inning, one out, runners on 2nd and 3rd, Trumbo comes up in a situation that screams "intentional walk", you see a walk there almost every time it happens. But not only do the Pirates apparently not fear Trumbo, but they treat him like an easy out. They attacked him, put him down 0-2, then he popped out to 1st.
I couldn't believe they pitched to him. Even for as much as I criticize him, it seemed like regardless of who was batting a walk would be likely. Really disappointing outcome, he should feel insulted that they pitched to him.
Also, Addison Reed is terrible.
I cannot wait for the mistakes of Towers to stop haunting us.
