Overall I thought Bridges played decent defense. Rose got on a hot streak.
I’m it’s a defender’s job to stop guys from getting into a hot streak. And if a guy does get on a hot streak, a good defender gets him out of it. Why are you making excuses?

Because it's not one player's fault the Suns lost.

Their margin of error for winning was razor thin with Oubre and now there isn't any margin. I guess if you want to point the finger at anyone direct it towards the GM.

Also, I only watched the second half, but in that time I saw perimeter players drop 4 of 5 jumpers right in Ayton’s face again. Three of them 3s. Whatever perimeter defense he chalked up the rep for last year is officially gone. If you don’t believe me, start keying on this one aspect from here on out.

I think his perimeter defense was overstated by many. While he showed he could be a good perimeter defender, he wasn't consistently good at it. He only looked good when given those assignments. He can't just turn it on when he gets switched onto a perimeter player after a pick or whatever happens that puts him out there.

That's part of why adding a good PF that can cover the paint will help him a lot. Then he can take the tougher assignment and guard the Lebrons' and Giannis' because someone else can handle the opposing Center and the paint.

It is REALLY hard to lose a game shooting 60% from the field. Of course, unless you allow 14 more attempts for the opponent.
The effort on the boards was deplorable.

Somebody needs to take a look at their player routines when at home. We've given away a lot of winnable games in Phoenix this season.

Hope Cam will be able to go tomorrow.

Cam Johnson had ice strapped to his back following tonight’s game after his scary fall: “I didn’t know what happened in the moment. I went up & the next thing you know, my legs went under me. Then I hit the ground & I kind of bounced there...my back kind of locked up at the time”

Cam on Rose’s final shot: “Before he spun, it looked like he was about to lose the ball...Probably just (learned) an awareness of not letting him get that seam. Which is tough to do, but the bump kind of knocked me back just one step and allowed him to get the floater off.” #Suns

Whatever they are doing it's not working.

Cam Johnson trying to defend Rose in the closing seconds. It looked like Bridges almost got a hand on the ball.

Any team, or fan, who blames poor performance on "jinx" (even in jest) is bound to . . . be out of the playoffs for a decade.
You never called “jinx” when someone said the exact same thing as you at the same time? I know you’re older than me, but I’m not going and I thought that had been around since the time of dirt.

I usually heard "jinx, you owe me a coke" or "jinx, you owe me a soda". I've never bought into the idea that you could jinx your team by saying something from a hundred miles away but all the kids I knew used some form of the jinx quote when two or more people said the same thing at the same time. Although with 4 brothers in my family it was always "jinx, hold still while I hit you as hard as I can in the arm of your choice".

Imagine if this team could beat the teams they should be beating at home. Sigh

We suck at home, no doubt about it.

The energy at the arena just sucks. I was at the home opener and the crowd was awesome, really seemed like they helped carry the team in the 2nd half. Then I went to the Orlando game in January and, while we had a miraculous late comeback, the crowd was dead, a total non factor until the final 2 minutes.

Hopefully the remodel will help, but really, they just need to win more games, get the fans more engaged.

Nobody is saying it was one players fault. You’re changing the narrative.

How can a team shoot 60% from the field and lose? Couldn’t watch the game.

Why don’t we just get Rose and Wood for next year?

We keep talking about needing a backup pg and a pf, but we really don’t have a back up sg at all.

Suns couldn't stop Rose. Also they didn't secure loose balls and committed 8 more turnovers than the Pistons. Additionally Detroit put up 15 more shots.
