So it looks like on Thursday June 4th (when the Board of Governors vote) is when we find out if the Suns are included provided a 22 game format is selected.

Why teams six games out of the playoffswould be included?

Ramona Shelburne explains.

Why six games? Because historically teams haven’t been able to come back from more than five games with this amount of games remaining on the schedule.

Looks like the 22-team option is gaining steam. Looks like the Suns will be playing again boys...

Reportedly Sarver supported OKC owner in bringing back all 30 teams.

i'm the warriors wouldn't want to continue the season, they're getting healthier and a top pick.

If there is a play-in, I'm hoping the regular season standings apply for the draft (before the play-in) unless a team gets lucky in the lottery.

If they bring back 22 obviously they can’t just play the next 6 games on their schedule. It will be interesting to see what they concoct.

ESPN Sources: As the NBA models a 22-team format for a July 31 resumption in Orlando, the proposed timeline for teams as the last possible date for an NBA Finals Game 7: October 12.

Adam Silver is going to propose 22 team format.

Still a bit unclear. Are they completely wiping away the current standings?

I thought it was unclear. I think reporters are trying to get ahead of the story.

It should be announced tomorrow when the board of governors meet.

It sounds almost like it's decided if the voting supports it.

Looks like the Suns should be included with 13 Western Conference teams.

Sources: Joining the 16 current playoff teams in Orlando: New Orleans, Portland, Phoenix, Sacramento and San Antonio in the West and Washington in the East. If the 9th seed is more than 4 games behind the 8th, No. 8 makes playoffs; Fewer than 4 games, a play-in tournament.

Bad thing is, Suns lose the first two games, they are pretty much eliminated. Guess we'll see a bunch of our G-Leaguers playing.

The Suns should be healthy if they are serious about winning.

Portland should get some players back making them tough to beat.

if it’s based on current standing then it’s kinda pointless as we’re not making up 5 spots with only 8 games.

I would think there has to be a wild card possibility or it does seem pointless especially for the Suns although I understand Sarver supported the idea all 30 teams play.

If I understand it correctly, the Suns would have to finish 9th in the Western Conference to even have a chance for a play-in.
