Among teams left out of Orlando resumption, some members of NBA’s Board of Governors disagree with 22-team format - but do plan to cast “yes” votes on call starting soon, sources tell ESPN. Proposal requires three-fourths support. It's expected to clear that hurdle with ease.

I wish the teams who have a play-in had an equal chance to make the playoffs via a tournament. It would be more exciting that way.

I wouldn’t expect that. It’s valuable learning time for such a young squad, even after elimination.

Unless like Chap said we flame out early. We’ll see the same zombie basketball from the Suns to finish out we do every year.

It’s important to win our first game.

The fact the Wizards can make up and game and a half on Orlando and force a play in scenario is laughable.

They had to get at least one Eastern Conference team in a play-in somehow.

I'm wondering if a play-in will effect the regular season standings if Suns should win. Wish the current season standings would not change.

As the Knicks season ends now, President Leon Rose will soon begin his search for a new head coach -- with Tom Thibodeau a frontrunner out of the gate, sources tell ESPN.

If I'm understanding this correctly, the lottery standings will be based on team records through the March 11th date.

This is what I was hoping.

Thanks for all the info, Main, but it's 22 teams, not games. You said 22 games in 3 or 4 posts. :)

So before all this happned, there was talk of moving the season start to 12/25/2020 for the player's health. I don't think that ever got set in stone. I believe it was something the league was considering. I remember most sports analysts were saying they did not watch the NBA until those Christmas games anyway.
