Holy crap. Feel free to try someone other than a tiny RB on 3rd and short.

Does this offense allow Skelton to change the play at the line? Is it a problem with Skelton?

He did kill a play at the line, you could hear it. Led to a big gain.

So he has the option, yes.

Imagine that...somebody complaining about play calling. When your team is losing, fans can always complain about some random play call.

That is a joke. That statement is a complete joke. Some really weak sauce.

It is a complete and utter cop-out for anyone to say, "Well, what do you know, you are not a coach ? You are just a dumb fan." That is right I am a fan, and so is everyone here. So be that logic, nobody knows anything so why are you here reading things ? Just to tell us all how stupid we are ?

Flippin Ron Wofley pulled the same ridiculousness on his radio show today, and you know what, I am so flippin' tired of it.

We have every right to question what ever the hell we want. As for questioning the coaches ? Yeah, I am going to do that. If that makes me an arrogant person, fine. Am I pretentious and confident enough to say, sometimes, yeah I know better, yes, yes I am.

And trust me, I WANT TO TRUST THE COACHES. I WANT TO AGREE WITH WHAT THEY DO. I WANT TO FEEL LIKE I HAVE NO BUSINESS QUESTIONING THEM. Our current staff is making that very, very hard.

I have no problem saying that our offensive coordinator can't see the forrest from the trees.

5 things I hate about that play call.
1. Took the best player out of the game.
2. Gave the ball to a 180 lbs RB. - Don't care, dumb move. QB sneak the 250lbs QB you have and run behing your "best offensive lineman" in Daryn Colledge.
3. Ran behind a Rich Ornberger. Who for all the hyping up Ron Wofley does for he guy, all the moxie, "A for effort", and Whiz's like his attitude BS, the guy is not NFL quality. He is 300 lbs, and barely an athlete. Got blown up on the play too. And has shown NOTHING to instill that trust in him.
4. At what point and time had the Cardinals proven they could run the ball in that game ? Enough to say, "We are running here, try and stop it" ? I certainly don't think so.
5. This is not Pee-Wee football, was ANYONE surprised on where the ball went ? Yeah, neither were the Packers, and they had a REALLY easy time blowing up the right side of our line, which is EXACTLY what I expected to happen.

That was a HORRIBLE play call. And you know what ? If you don't agree, then prove to me it was not, with facts. Don't hide behind some over used convenient excuse, that is more of a psuedo personal insult anyway, that "the coaches know better."

Really? Then why is everyone, past coaches, analysis to 3 year olds saying that it was a horrible play ? Hint: It was.

But wait a minute, I am not finished yet. Let's keep talking about it.

So Ron Wolfley says, " You have to trust in your players to make the right play, to execute. If Ornberger makes the block and it is a TD then everyone is happy."

Fair enough. Am I then to assume that some one, some where thought the 300lbs Ornberger, who has shown NOTHING in two games straight was expected to create a hole, and push the pile ? Really? That was the plan ?

And I am crazy cause I question the coaches ? Yeah. Wonder why.

No. No. You are all right. That was a great play call. Up there with the 4th & 2 lets let Reagen Maui'a take the reigns. Or the countless plays to Early Doucet who deserves no trust in clutch situation, yet there he is on key downs, out on the field.

Or in the same game on a 3rd down, running a slowly developing misdirection play that almost got LSH killed.

No even better. Let's run Early Doucet out of the backfield, and on screens cause he has never shown he has any ability to do those things, and of course, he can't catch a ball in a clutch situation.

The team has dropped 5 straight and until last game was averaging 9 points per game.

Play calling should be brought into question, personell on the field should be brought into question, and by all who invest in this organization and team. And that includes fans.

And if Fitz is on the field, then he would have had an option then.

What was his other option on this call ?

Statue of Liberty ? Naked bootleg ? Fumble-rusky ?

Agree 1000%.....And we have tons of them to look back on. How many 3rd and 12's have we had...and we throw a 4 yard pass. Yet the ones bashing us for complaining all say....well break a tackle and we can get 10 more yards. Same thing Whiz says....Make a football play. Yes that works if we have Aaron Rodgers or Drew Brees throwing darts to WR's in movement where they can actually keep running. What about the dumb pitch play on 3rd down against NE. No way you run a pitch play! EVER!!!! You add 50% more difficulty to the play instantly. What happened? See where are the facts from all the people who say these are good play calls???? Show me more than not where these plays have worked. Not just 1 play here and there. We ran Howling on a play at the 5 yard l;ine...and only reason why it worked...he got lucky to break the first tackle and then ran outside. So the play broke down..and he broke a tackle.

It was a horrible call to run a guy who has no weight or strength to the WEAK SIDE also to make 1yard on an off tackle. It doesnt even make sense.

Oh by the way....Tampa Bay have lost 3 OL starters...and had a rookie RB run for 251 Yards.....It is called coaching. Tampa was bottom 5 in scoring last year is now top 5. New coach...go figure.

I pretty much have been complaining the whole time- Russ Grimm is a much better OC- and needs to take over during the bye week.

Again I assert the play call is fine. The personnel was not. Two totally different things. You're all bi-polar. When Beanie is healthy you guys complain out the wazoo when we throw down at the goaline even though Fitz is clearly our best player.

Doesnt matter what play is called in this situation or who is healthy to run it. When it doesnt work on a pass its the play calling. When it doesnt work on a run its the play calling..

When we score the TD it was a great play call. When we dont the play call sucked. You guys crack me up.

Lol!! Beans is a power back who is much more suited in that situation to pound it in than the diminutive LSH. Compound that with taking the best player on the team out of the play and completely removing any need to keep the defense honest. Other than that you are totally right, Baghdad Shane... :)

This is just something for people to complain about. Earlier in the game on 3rd and short they ran LSH up the middle and got a 1st down. Complain about the blocking if you want, but I don't care if Ron Dayne was back there, he wasn't scoring on the poorly blocked play.
??? while it IS something I bitch a lot about... this was week 8, the world knows our line sucks. The world knows LSH is tiny and needs open space to create a play. Given those 2 facts, Miller thought it was a good idea to send the little fella right up the gut, knowing there is very little chance of this line creating a hole. I absolutely think it was an awful call

BAHAHAHAHAHAHA yeah, hopefully he's smart enough to go out and get Matt Leinart and Tim Hightower back too... :mulli:
