Imagine that...somebody complaining about play calling. When your team is losing, fans can always complain about some random play call.
That is a joke. That statement is a complete joke. Some really weak sauce.
It is a complete and utter cop-out for anyone to say, "Well, what do you know, you are not a coach ? You are just a dumb fan." That is right I am a fan, and so is everyone here. So be that logic, nobody knows anything so why are you here reading things ? Just to tell us all how stupid we are ?
Flippin Ron Wofley pulled the same ridiculousness on his radio show today, and you know what, I am so flippin' tired of it.
We have every right to question what ever the hell we want. As for questioning the coaches ? Yeah, I am going to do that. If that makes me an arrogant person, fine. Am I pretentious and confident enough to say, sometimes, yeah I know better, yes, yes I am.
And trust me, I WANT TO TRUST THE COACHES. I WANT TO AGREE WITH WHAT THEY DO. I WANT TO FEEL LIKE I HAVE NO BUSINESS QUESTIONING THEM. Our current staff is making that very, very hard.
I have no problem saying that our offensive coordinator can't see the forrest from the trees.
5 things I hate about that play call.
1. Took the best player out of the game.
2. Gave the ball to a 180 lbs RB. - Don't care, dumb move. QB sneak the 250lbs QB you have and run behing your "best offensive lineman" in Daryn Colledge.
3. Ran behind a Rich Ornberger. Who for all the hyping up Ron Wofley does for he guy, all the moxie, "A for effort", and Whiz's like his attitude BS, the guy is not NFL quality. He is 300 lbs, and barely an athlete. Got blown up on the play too. And has shown NOTHING to instill that trust in him.
4. At what point and time had the Cardinals proven they could run the ball in that game ? Enough to say, "We are running here, try and stop it" ? I certainly don't think so.
5. This is not Pee-Wee football, was ANYONE surprised on where the ball went ? Yeah, neither were the Packers, and they had a REALLY easy time blowing up the right side of our line, which is EXACTLY what I expected to happen.
That was a HORRIBLE play call. And you know what ? If you don't agree, then prove to me it was not, with facts. Don't hide behind some over used convenient excuse, that is more of a psuedo personal insult anyway, that "the coaches know better."
Really? Then why is everyone, past coaches, analysis to 3 year olds saying that it was a horrible play ? Hint: It was.
But wait a minute, I am not finished yet. Let's keep talking about it.
So Ron Wolfley says, " You have to trust in your players to make the right play, to execute. If Ornberger makes the block and it is a TD then everyone is happy."
Fair enough. Am I then to assume that some one, some where thought the 300lbs Ornberger, who has shown NOTHING in two games straight was expected to create a hole, and push the pile ? Really? That was the plan ?
And I am crazy cause I question the coaches ? Yeah. Wonder why.
No. No. You are all right. That was a great play call. Up there with the 4th & 2 lets let Reagen Maui'a take the reigns. Or the countless plays to Early Doucet who deserves no trust in clutch situation, yet there he is on key downs, out on the field.
Or in the same game on a 3rd down, running a slowly developing misdirection play that almost got LSH killed.
No even better. Let's run Early Doucet out of the backfield, and on screens cause he has never shown he has any ability to do those things, and of course, he can't catch a ball in a clutch situation.
The team has dropped 5 straight and until last game was averaging 9 points per game.
Play calling should be brought into question, personell on the field should be brought into question, and by all who invest in this organization and team. And that includes fans.
