I do not mean the guy will be a huge bust, the player just never will be what the hype envisioned them to be. In other words, a solid player but no playmaker. My player is Jace Amaro the TE out of Texas Tech. Kid played at a San Antonio highschool just like Housler and then went to Texas Tech which often reminds one of a system which puts up big numbers but not really intrinsic on player worth . I think Amaro is more than that but I think he will not be that X factor at TE some think he will in my opinion. Oh, I'm sorry I had to bring the Dude up... Amaro is much more than that too lol

Blake Bortles. He reminds me of jake locker. I think his arm is very average and he doesn't have great accuracy. Hard to dramatically improve either of those.

Manziel.

Everyone sees the next Russell Wilson.

All I see and hear is Matt Leinart part II.

Jadevon Clowney-huge talent and skills,I question his hustle, attitude and want to.Plus he isn`t facing average college left tackles most of the time.

I don't see him as Leinart. Manzeil has twice the heart Leinart has. However, I see him as another Doug Flutie. He'll have a decent career but his size will ultimately be his downfall.

LT Cyrus Kouandjio

The guy was one of the top recruits coming out of high school. They put him in at LT and he was exposed a little in the last year. I understand he is raw and developing. But he had some of the best coaching in the country at Alabama, and he did not improve over the last year. Also, I am worried that he struggled at critical times when the team really needed him to come through. Maybe another set of coaches can get the best out of this guy, but there is no way I use a first round pick on him.

my usual response to this thread would have been "Whoever is taken in the first round by the Cardinals". But in BASK I trust this year.

So, I'll go with, whoever is drafted by the Raiders.

Manziel. I think he will win some games but will struggle to stay healthy similar to Michael Vick.

Not at all. His accuracy is much better than Locker; Locker could never crack 60% as a college passer.

Bortles was one of the best college QBs I watched last year, BUT I don't think he's worthy of a top five pick. I think Bortles is perfect at pick #20 :p

For me it's Trent Murphy. The guy is unathletic and won't win battles against bigger, stronger NFL players like he has been at Stanford. He's Sam Acho at best.

Not to mention that Locker has a cannon for an arm; he just can't point that cannon--like, at all.

Mike Evans= Alshon Jeffrey. He is physical has huge hands and can win

the jump ball contest.
I think Jeffrey was a much better player coming out of college. I remember, at some point, touting him for the Cards in round 1. He ran that slow time, rumored to have put on a bunch of weight and it dropped him.

I don't see it in Evans. I see more of Mike Williams in that he's not nig enough to overcome his lack of speed. Maybe he blisters a 4.45 forty at the combine, but I think we'll see more in the 4.6 range. I know the 40 isn't everything but I don't see a whole lot of wiggle or RAC in him either.

Coincidentally, Bridgewater and Bortles played in the same conference and basically same schedule. Head to head UCF won in a really good game. Bortles looked the better of the 2.

Yet most casual observers and pundits rate Bridgewater way over Bortles. I don't see it. Measurables alone, Bortles gaps Bridgewater. They both carried their teams. I find a comparison to Locker invalid. Locker has more Athlete in his resume' than QB.

Of all the TE's at the combine, Amaro's hands measured the smallest at only 9 inches. That's a factor in both blocking and pass catching.

I just don't see it in Amaro. Something about him just rubs me the wrong way. Can't put my finger on it

If I'm a coach I make Evans a TE & use him like Graham :D
Imagine that mismatch on SS & LBs. Hmmm I'm a genius lol

I'm the same way and it's probably unwarranted but something about the guy makes me go that he is not half as good as people are projecting him to be in the NFL. In other words, I hope the Cardinals do not draft him because I think we will be going by the third season, "when is the light going to come on" lol
