Inexpensive players I'd like the Suns to sign that I think would be successful next to Nash and Amare.

Rodney Carney
Will Bynum (backup PG)
Steven Hunter (he was decent)
Hakim Warrick
Chris Wilcox
Mark Blount

That being said, anyone else see Budinger tearing up summer league?

9-10 25 points in 23 minutes the other day.

Liked Carney out of college so I'd take a flyer on him.

Only other guy I like is Wilcox because I know he has some game left. The others shouldn't be in the league.

Only would want Wilcox for depth because of his physicality.

Good to see that Chase is doing well in Summer League. Now he has to transition that to the pros

i'll be shocked if we sign any of 'em. they are plugging griffin in that slot. would like to see warrick or carney in our uptempo. i know suns liked carney at draft time. but don't realistically expect any more veterans on this team.

+1 Warrick - is he available?

Im a syracuse fan so Im a fan of his..he seems like a good bench guy for the suns system - athletic, active, can finish at the rim. Only problem is hes an undersized PF.

I'm mildly interested in Will Bynum. I only caught a couple pistons games last year but he seemed like a pesky on the ball defender with a semi decent offensive game. He's undersized though but could be worth a look.

I'd just really like to see Warrick and Carney play with Nash for athletic reasons. Will Bynum is a good defensive guard which is why I am into him.

We need a shooter off the bench. There's only Barbosa off the bench who has a plus offensive game, every1 else is not close to being a threat.

If I remember correctly from :07 Seconds or Less, Gentry was one of Tim Thomas's biggest detractors.

Irregardless, TT had some big games and made clutch shots for the Suns. The money the Suns saved my not re-signing TT was used on signing Banks. :bang:

Anyway if TT could be had for the veteran minimum, I'd consider it. The cost would be cheap and he can play all three frontline positions.

Gentry should definitely reconsider.

TT played well because it was a contract year. He's got skills for sure but he lacks drive and motivation. I'd rather not have him anywhere close to Clark.

I'd rather have someone young and hungry (a la Amundson) than TT.

Irregardless is not a word. Other than that, I agree that Thomas would be a good addition. Unfortunately I still think we need a frontline player that can be a defensive presence and get some rebounds. TT is definitely not that.

Sign Wilcox and I consider it a good offseason.

Here's the minutes breakdown:
PG- Nash(30)/Dragic(15)/Barbosa(3)
SG- Richardson(23)/Barbosa(25)
SF- Hill(28)/Richardson(10)/Clark(10)
PF- Frye(24)/Amundson(15)/Wilcox(9)
C- Amare(38)/Lopez(10)

I guarantee you Richardson will get more than 23 mpg.

Tim Thomas was waived by the Bulls. I wonder if the Suns would have any interest. He played well for the Suns when he was here previously.

We need to focus on developing younger players. The reason that mgmt has been giving for keeping Nash and Grant is that they provide a level of professionalism in the locker room that is a real help to developing younger players.

I would rather see the Suns pick up a raw talent from the summer league.
