After snatching defeat from the jaws of victory against the Vikings, Arizona now sits on the outside looking in for a playoff spot - currently in 9th position for the 7 slots. According to nfl.com, Cards have a 38% chance of making the playoffs as of today. I think that is actually pretty generous given the history of "2nd half of season" collapses. Perhaps KM, MHJ, and the improving defense can at least get the Cards into the dance this year. Time will tell.

If that's your reality dude you need to go take a bong rip.

We are still in charge of our destiny and control the division....unless one of the other teams suddenly takes a big leap.

Niners are out.
Lambs won't likely survive their remaining opponents.
Hags are the biggest threat. But it's only a matter of time before Geno Geno's and they come up short...us curb stomping them at home goes a long way towards applying the needed pressure for that to happen.

For us it's simple. Beat the hags at home...beat the teams we should beat...then end the season with two division games that set the nfcwest pecking order for the next decade.

Glad to see people have perspective here.

We need to win this week and hopefully in dominate fashion.

Get to Geno and we win this game.

The reality is that a win puts us right back on top with an objectively easier schedule remaining.

I’m honestly more concerned about how the team plays in the final 5 games than the play-offs. For me it’s about the trajectory of the team. The last two drafts seem to have been really successful and it starts to show on the field - about 1/2 season earlier than I expected. Finishing the season being competitive with 9-10 wins is a success and playoff is only an added bonus

I’m not gonna lie, regardless of what the percentages say, this team feels like it’s dead in the water.

Seattle has clearly turned a corner and the Rams are now 6-6 as well and we now have to play them with a healthy Puka & Kupp.

It’s gut check time. If this team loses a third game in a row I think that will be pretty telling. It’s now or never for JG. This game and the results will speak volumes to me about the coaching staff one way or another.

It's amazing that even with our losses we have been a top 10 offense and defense over the past six weeks, and kyler has had a top 5 qbr

Agreed, it's all about wins and losses at the end of the day. No participation trophy for any leading the league in a meaningless stats.
90% completions
6000 yards
45 Touchdowns
700 yds rushing

4-13

Yeah....that would suck major rocks.

However, historically speaking, consistently producing meaningless stats usually leads to victories.

Call them KPI's....or, Key Performance Indicators as they are called in business.

I only like them with Kyler because they demonstrate that while he is not setting the league on fire he is in fact performing at a more consistent measurable level.
Once Kylers level of competition becomes a predictable known quantity it makes it far easier to build the offense around him and achieve success.

The inconsistency and instability of his on field product has always been his biggest flaw.
We don't need 300 yds passing and 2 TDs a game from him...if we know we are guaranteed 75% completions with 190 yards and 1 TD through the air...and 50 yards with .5 TDs a game on the ground...we can build around that...and on days he performs better are just a bonus.

The last season since his injury Ky.er has managed to drastically reduce his dumpster fire performances... but some of the "wow" factor has also gone. I'm fine with that if it allows petting to establish a baseline

Carolina and NE doesnt look like easy wins now.
yeah... people putting those down in ink as Ws aren't really paying attention. Maye looks like he's gonna be a stud and Carolina at home has lost four squeakers in a row, with an offense that's somewhat come to life. We'll likely be favored in both games so they're should wins, but hardly definite wins, IMO.
