Positives about this game
Tyrus Thomas defense....I'm impressed, and BankyBruce you're right that his defense is leaps and bounds ahead of Amare. Rose isn't that a good of a defender but yet he has the help/trust that Tyrus will be there to protect the rim.

Ben Gordon....wow what can I say, the guy has Ice water in his veins. Ditto for Ray Allen.

Negatives
Tyrus Thomas offense and rebounding wasn't there tonight, not surprising.

Thomas and Noah are going no where unless it involved a trade from Bosh. I am glad that Amare was not traded to the Bulls now. Thomas is a great defensive player and starting to add a decent jump shot.
Me too. I am glad Amare wasn't traded for that deal considering Swift and Lopez were keeping the pine warm.

Yeah must be great defense when you get outplayed by Glen Davis like that.

Glen Davis 26 points 9 rebounds
Tyrus Thomas 6 points 4 rebounds +/- -21

yea to be honest glen davis was making a lot of easy wide open jumpers. Tyrus could not make his own shot to save his life today he blew a momentum changing fastbreak and all his points came from jumpers.

WOW, way to look at whole box score. He played on 20 minutes and have 6 blocks too. Funny how you left that out. You really like to pile on a kid who should be a senior in college right now. I guess bitterness does funny things to people.

Amare was scoring 26 ppg in the NBA when he was supposed to be a junior in college.

You forgot to add six blocks to Tyrus Thomas stat line. Brad Miller, Joakim Noah, and Tyrus Thomas all took turns guarding davis, with Thomas getting the least minutes. It wasn't like Glen Davis was punishing Tyrus on the block. Glen Davis posted up Tyrus maybe once, and the end result was Tyrus blocking Davis's shot.

Tyrus Thomas rebounding and offense has always been below average, so the six point and 4 rebounds isn't that shocking.

So what does this thread have to do with the Suns anyway?

I know it is in the Sun Forum, but come on now.

Good for him and the term "pick n' roll" gives him nightmares. By the way, I never said Amare was not a great player, all I said is I am glad the Bulls did not trade for him. They would have gave up too much for one player when instead they got John Salmons, Brad Miller, Tim Thomas and a draft pick for much less.

Ray Allen is a complete stud. My gosh, that guy is hands down the best shooter in the NBA IMO. It doesn't matter if your in his face. That closing minutes of that game were fun to watch.

You really have to give props to Ainge for getting Allen, who was going nowhere with his talent on the Sonics and wasn't performing as well last year as the 3rd banana of a team for the first time in his career.

They are too young and celtics too experienced for that to matter, this year, as I predicted a couple of posts earlier.

BTW, anybody still questioning whether Marbury would help the Celts? He seems to be a model citizen and had a huge stretch by nailing a 3pt before clock violation and assisting for 3 by Allen on next fastbreak. However, his shooting seems getting worse and he still can't use pick the right way to create space.

He was ours... I hate Mike D'Antoni..and the way the Suns have been doing business since drafting Amare (this includes Bryan Colangelo's blunders).
