Why the **** was Frye in the game at the end and not Amare or Lopez.

This game is seriously Gentry's fault. Horrible coaching to say the least.

Frye was +10 with 10 rebounds and 14 points. Amare had FOUR rebounds.

LA got very lucky tonight. They have no reason to feel good about tonight's game. We, however, have every reason to think we can win again at home and go to LA and steal one. I agree with most that tonight's game would have been the easier of the two in LA but it is what it is. I think we can beat them. I actually think we're a better team.

Also if artest isn't a moron with 53 seconds left, we probably don't have a shot.

Once again luck is not on our side. That's three games the Lakers have won in these playoffs in the last seconds. Two put backs for wins. That ball could have bounced anywhere. The luckiest team generally wins. Well, at least we weren't up at that time so we could have lost it in OT just as well. Nothing new here. I certainly didn't expect this whole series to go without a loss like this. Happens every time.

Who cares? That's 1 game. Amare, Amundson and Lopez are infinitely better to grab that one important rebound than the softest player in the league known as Channing Frye.

Even worse was going to Frye for 3 TWICE out of timeouts.

J-Rich gave us the TT moment. Now we need the Westphal moment. Get Game 6!

This team is capable of everything!

Am i the only one not devastated by that. We had no reason being in that game, made amazing comeback, had a lucky banked 3 to get there...

let's take care of game 6. that's it.

If the ball had hit the rim we'd be in overtime. More bad luck for the Suns and a great play by Artest.

It's not over yet lets get them at home and if we can stay in this game, no reason to think we cant steal game 7.

GO SUNS!

Frye can chase a shooter and Lopez can't. Gentry figured there would be no time for second shot attempt.

We just have to win game 6 at home and force a game 7. The Suns showed the grit to win in game 7.

For some reason I'm not discouraged at all by this loss.

The way we were playing earlier...and the lakers couldn't put us away, artest with the wasted seconds...plus, who knows....it was just going to go to overtime, it's not like the suns had it in the bag after that put back from artest...we could have went to OT and won it, or they could have. We had our chances and squandered them in the first half with crap to show. The heart from the second group in the second half was outstanding and the heart.......I'm confident we'll win in Phoenix and when we go back to la la land....hopefully their luck ends.....

Exactly. All these people who keep blaming Frye are clueless. Frye was one of the reasons they got back in this game. Channing got the rebound and assist at the end that tied the game. No one is expecting Kobe to shoot an airball and Artest beat Richardson to the ball. Frye was boxing out Gasol and doing his job on that play.

Gentry had the appropriate players in the game at the end. The ONLY way the Lakers have a chance off a miss is an air ball... in the perfect spot... at the perfect moment... with a guy right there to grab it... pure luck.
