Why is everyone bitching about our beloved coach? He's better than D'Antoni. He will lead this team to a title I'm sure...

D'antoni lead the Knicks to the Eastern Conference ..... oh wait a minute, knicks were one of the worst teams this year...gj dantoni!!!

No chaplin this is clearly nashs fault. he just dribbles too much. I mean nash had TWO turnovers the entire game, TWO. meanwhile amare is over there busting his ass getting 4 rebounds and diving on the floor for the first time in his career.

I think this is sarcasm, but I'm not sure.

Nash certainly had issues as well, but nothing as big was what Amare DIDN'T do. Putting Goran in was a good thing, obviously, but we were already down big when that happened. If Amare had played better earlier in the game, Goran's time would have been to preserve and maybe extend a lead, not play catch-up.

For the record, I love Gentry over D'antoni.. but man, I still believe that putting in those sluggish starters back in was a massive mistake. Dudley was OWNING Bryant out there.

Nice little come back attempt in the 4th. Dragic definitely has future in this league. But, once again, we can't expect to play like crap for three quarters and then win it in the 4th. Too little too late. You expect better than that in a literal must-win game. Disappointed with Amare who didn't do much offensively until the 4th and got owned on the glass once again. JRich didn't do much either. Our two highest paid players right there.

They didn't run ANYTHING for JRich in the 2nd half. It was almost exclusively (when Nash was in) Amare down on the block. Which didn't work.

Wouldn't have mattered...Kobe could throw from full court on the other side with Hill/dudley's hand in his face and it would still go in. Such is the suns

Look the Lakers can guard Nash. They can't guard Goran. That doesn't mean the loss is Nash's fault, but you need to exploit any matchup advantage you have regardless of "the book"

Rondo is going to eat the Lakers for lunch.

well so long amare maybe the next team you are on won't need a rebounder so you will be okay... ugh man 4 boards really and nice last shot as a sun :(. But I really like what I saw out of dragic this series guy is a warrior. Well time to rebuild and start for next year ugh just sucks losing at home. But honestly losing a close game 7 in la would have 100 times worse. just sucks aww well

It is so obvious Amare has left the team. He walked away without shaking, that was unsportsmanlike

I know that until October there will probably be a lot of finger pointing on this board. Team Amare vs. Team Nash with some of the D'Antoni kooks sprinkled in. But in the end, this was a good season; a season that exceeded all expectations.

This is the Suns team, flaws and all, I like most in my life time. Whats more, Goran and Lopez really became a players this season and this playoffs. I'm excited to see where they go.

I will say though, the Phoenix Suns go to Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals when we were completely written off. Pretty damn proud to be a Suns fan, and when I go out in LA tomorrow, I'll proudly flaunt my Suns gear.

I know gentry likes his little platoon system but I think he needs to mix and match a little bit.. I would have like to seen him go with a

Nash
Dragic
Dudley
Amare
Frye

Lineup when he put nash back in.

Other than that Ive got no complaints.. hopefully he'll mix it up a little next year in the 3rd/4th quarters.

Amare rebounds for the series:

Game 1: 3
Game 2: 6
Game 3: 11
Game 4 8
Game 5: 4
Game 6: 4

Below 5 for half the series. Absolutely the key to our loss.

This is the sole reason i try not to be too hard on Amare because he was the MVP for the second half of the season. without him we don't get 3rd seed.
Wish him good luck wherever he decides to go.

Well, extremely disappointing performance in the first 3 quarters. We found the working combination in 4th and then went away from it in the final minutes. I think that was an error. Gentry should have kept Dragic in.

Also, say what you will about how Frye began the series, as the games got more important he got better.

Maybe Amare can get some lessons from Frye in rebounding... 10 game 5 and 13 today.

Yeah the "soft guy" and the "*****" kicked Amare's ass in rebounding.

But it isn't Amare's fault, I mean he had to play center...

Oh wait....

I agree, i hope they keep him. We gonna need big men. If he can do this in his 1st season of liberation, there is room for improvement.

You gotta put Nash in at the end of the game. He's the two time MVP, the team's best clutch shooter, and our spiritual leader. Also, Goran had just bricked an open three. Putting them both in at the same time would've been interesting, but I think after J-Rich hit the tying shot the other day, he earned Coach's support. The only decision I think you can quibble with is substituting out Dudley for Hill. Duds is the better three point shooter, and had been playing better defense.

And Channing Frye has earned a contract extension. Amare has not, and that was painfully obvious to anybody who watched the game. Hopefully he'll do well somewhere else (but not against the Suns of course).

Lack of size is the key to our loss.

If you expect Amare to dominate the boards when he is forced on the perimeter on offense and playing zone defense against two 7 footers you have delusional expectations.

We knew coming into the series that the Lakers size would trouble us. A Portland team without Roy troubled us with their size. San Antonio doesn't have the size and we swept them.

Now it is time to rebuild completely unless we can sign Dirk to replace Amare which would mean losing Frye and Amare most likely.
