The Jokic thing is nothing. Lets take it to them next game and beat them WITH Jokic playing.
Send he and his brothers back to Crapganistan for vacation.

TJ Warren is ready for a few bubble type games, I can feel it.

Jokic is awesome and one of the most unique stars this game has seen. I love his saltiness and would be defending his arse off if he was a Sun. I think we beat them at full strength. Suns in 6.
Agree. Personality aside, that Mfer can BALL! I'd trade the rest of the team for him and take on the league with just KD, Book and Jokic. 3 on 5

I just woke up.

This game was incredible to watch in person.

I, jokingly, told everyone around me that Shamet is getting 18, it's his night. I was wrong, he got 19. My bad.

Booker was unreal.

Durant finally looked like the guy we traded for.

Jokic played the best game of his career... and lost.

Fun time.

I think I need a nap.

Yeah I have no idea what’s going to happen here. He clearly wasn’t violent. But he also looked right at ishbia and then purposefully shoved him down. And despite the ball thing, ishbia wasn’t making contact with jokic. The league may squirm outta this by saying the other fan touched jokic, jokic didn’t know it was and was protecting himself. But that’s BS.
But bro shoving someone is indeed violence. It doesn’t have to be a punch to be “violence”.

2007,,, the year the Suns should have won the NBA title,,,, AMARE and BORIS suspended for one playoff game for stepping
on the court
while on the bench for a breather,,,when Horry hit Nash hard!

My opinion, the Joker should be suspended for one game plus a $$ fine.
Different comish. David Stern was a stickler to a fault, Joker would be out for at least 2 games, Ja would have gotten 50 games, Draymond would have easily gotten the 4+ for the stomp.

The dehydrated gargoyle takes it too far the other way. I dunno what these guys have to do to get in any real trouble.

If you’re a star you can do just about anything and the biggest discipline might be a one game suspension.

Eating crow today and happy to do it. The Suns showed up and won a must win game. Hope they can go and win in Denver. Denver Post columnists are critical of Suns owner Matt Ishbia not Jokic and and say Ishbia should have been escorted out of the arena.

As David Stern would say, according to the “spirit of the law”, this is a suspension.
I will take it, F that POS. He is good but he is also FOS about Ishbi touching him 1st. The Suns have been historically screwed by the NBA for crap like this.

The other fan touched him after the shove not before

The Denver sports writers are off the deep end

That is 100% clear. He should’ve been tossed. Unfortunately it doesn’t say “suspended,” so they can say the mistake had already been made, fine him and leave it at that.

The other thing that burns me about Jokic is that he is the biggest beneficiary of playing in an era when there are almost literally no athletic skilled big men in the league. Put him back in the 1970s/1980s (heck, even 1990s), playing against the likes of Jabbar, Walton, Lanier, Gilmore, Parish, Olajuwon, Ewing, Malone, Shaq, Mourning, Motumbo, etc. on a nightly basis and he would struggle to even get his shot off. I'm not saying he would be total crap, but he would be Jeff Ruland or Bill Laimbeer... instead of a multiple MVP guy.

Instead, he's lucky to be playing in an era where just about every NBA big man is a plodder (Valancunias, Adams, Zubav, Vucevic, et al.), or an anti-physical guy who plays 20 feet from the basket (Towns, Porzingis, etc.). I bet Jeff Ruland and Bill Laimbeer are wishing they could have been born 30 years later.
This is silliness. Rutland didn’t have his touch, shooting distance, passing acumen or ballhandling skills. Laimbeer could shoot. Would he have it more difficult with all the physical rugged defenders from the 80s/90s? Sure. But that doesn’t make him rutland/Laimbeer.

It’s aggressive but violence connotes a level of intended injury that just wasn’t there.

Here’s the definition:

using or involving physical force intended to hurt, damage, or kill someone or something

You can’t use that word with any level of honesty in this case.

Here’s another description: “Physical violence occurs when someone uses a part of their body or an object to control a person’s actions.”

I agree there are certainly different types of violence as well as degrees of violence. With that said, if the league stays true to following precedent, he should be suspended.

The whole incident is weird. Why Jokic reacted reaching for the ball like that in the first place? Why Isiah Thomas is sitting with Ishbia and why he grabbed Jokic's jersey. Ishbia has his hand on Jokic's hip pretty much the same time Jokic pushed him back but that was likely just because he didn't want to get knocked back as Jokic was pulling for the ball.

I hope they don't suspend him because it would ruin the series, but there's definitely contact so if they follow the letter of the rule maybe they will.

I don't think there's much chance they'll suspend him despite the rules and the history behind this kind of action. But Jokic has his own history of inappropriate behavior so who knows. I don't know if we can win in Denver with him there but I'd prefer to face him regardless.

What about Charles Barkley being suspended for an incident with a fan?
I just think silver will handle this differently than Stern did.

that's really all I got on it. the push was light, but it definitely was a forearm push.

If the NBA wants to rationalize players pushing fans, so be it.
