Against a prevent though. that's the thing some people are ignoring. Skelton was 15-25 132 yards or about 5.3 YPA against their regular defense.

They went prevent and he goes 10-11 130 yards over 11 YPA and a TD. Do you really believe that's because he's better in the hurry up and has nothing to do with Minnesota's defense?

First 3 quarters we had to complete 2 passes for every first down. Skelton had more completions of 10 yards or more on the TD drive than he did for the rest of the game combined. It wasn't that we went hurry up, it's that they went prevent.

I hope HE believes it's because we went hurry up maybe he'll get some confidence and get it rolling earlier next week. The drive he fumbled on was the only good drive he had in the game until they went prevent.

That is what Skelton is supposed to do. Be a game manager. Complete high percentage short passes and let the defense keep us in the game. Where he messed up was when he got away from that, tried to win the game and threw a pick six. He sucks but to bag on him for throwing the short ball control passes he's supposed to throw is just ridiculous.

ok....

we are about 6 inches to the right on one FG kick from being 5-2 with a chance at home to take first place to ourselves over our biggest rival. No doubt the attitude would be much happier with just that slight of a difference on one play.

Given that, it's borderline hysteria to try and run Whis out of town at this point. You'd look pretty foolish if we beat SF, which is far from impossible.

Anybody that thinks it is time for Whis to be let go is the biggest bonehead their is. When the Cardinals had a QB in Warner(reminder 82 grads and I were the only 2 who wanted Warner to come to this team.) he took them to a Superbowl. The team has been in retool mode since Warner retirement. To Whis credit he has been doing a good job in coaching up the players. Not where we want to be just yet, but getting closer. Whis had to fight to get Ray Horton to be the defensive cordinator for the Cardinals. Any of the coaches that havn't been doing their job or not very good at their job has been let go.

Huh???? I wanted Warner big time.....ANd fought for him ever day he was here.

Ok I will play....We are also 6 inches right from losing to Seattle....(ball was thrown a little high) We are 10 yards left of losing to NE....We are numerous things right or left from losing to Miami.....So we could be 1-6 again.....just like last year.....and then all this would have alot more steam behind it.

Poor choice of words I guess.

By trying to win the game I meant getting away from being a game manager and taking the safe plays not trying to win the game with that one particular throw.

I was being a dick, I know what you meant. Ponder got in trouble doing the same thing. I will give Skelton ONE piece of credit and it is that he normally seems to know what game he needs to play in order for the team to win. He is normally not a turnover monster because he understands our defense will give him oppotunties to make another play. He struggled with this early in the Minnesota game. He has to be smarter with his ball security when he is moving in the pocket and can't being forcing balls into coverage on short passing plays. It doesn't bother me when he throws picks down the field to Fitzgerald, because at least he is taking a shot. Those shots down the field keep safeties back. Skelton has to be patient and make the throws when they come available.

My biggest area of conerns for our current crop of QBs is their missing throws when they are there. I don't have a problem with them throwing the ball away or taking sacks, because our offensive line is terrible. But it really burns me when they get time, have a guy open, and miss the throw. That and turnovers are the biggest reasons we haven't won the past three games.

Never adjusts!!!! Never!!!!! Same crap same week after week. Play calling is horrible....Time management is even worse.
Defense played lights out! We gave up 58 YARDS PASSING!!!! TOTAL and less than 210 yards total offense...and lose!!!! Whiz is horrific and finally I see some starting to jump off his band skateboard. Our defense doesnt deserve this. They have held every team to like 14 points if you take away the gift turnovers. But we are back to the same ol Cardinals unless he is gone.

The D is very good. The O horrible. It doesn't help when the D gives up a TD on first possessions either. This team (offense) needs to be able to jump ahead in games. We weren't able to recover from early deficit(s).

Wiz isn't working with quality right now with the O. Take away Fitz and you EASILY have the worst O in the league.

I thought it was a misprint when I saw there was a 22 yard completion to Housler over the middle.
