For anyone who thinks that great players get no love if they live in Phoenix weren't paying attention when Charles Barkley was the number one super-star sensation across the entire country when he played for the Suns. MVP, Nike, even got himself into the MJ-Bird Super Bowl McDonald's commercials.

Peyton's already that big of a star and more. anywhere he goes, the mass marketing blitz will follow.

Nash gets major pub in Canada also. Personally, I love his sense of humor. The dude is hilarious.

I don't see why owning a condo in Miami even enters into the discussion. I own condos and don't live where they are located... the point of a condo is to get away from where you live. It's not like he can't afford another one or two.

I agree. Fitz owns a condo in Cabo San Lucas. Doesn't mean he's going to play professional soccer.

Dude, as big as Barkley was, no way he even sniffed the marketability of MJ, Magic, or Bird. Hell, even Shaq was a bigger household name two years into the league than Barkley was during his Suns run.

lol... u must have been sleeping during the period that Barkley was so big that he actually won the MVP over Jordan (in his prime), made the Suns the number TV draw year after year and was literally everywhere all the time. During MJ's retirement, Barkley was undoubtedly the NBA's biggest star.
