Samardzija isn't entering the NFL draft.

Thats still 5 to 6 WR's that major draft prognosticators, one of which is the best in the Biz(huddlereport) is still prediciting to be top 30 talent.

Actually, Washington has been whispering about replacing Portis. Now, that was a while ago in the offseason, but they might be in the market.
uh yeah the replacements is ladel betts. they need to unload at least one of the three guys they are paying starter money to (portis, duckett and betts).

*sigh* you can read the thread, right? Somebody already said that. I also said that once on a radio show I heard they might go after a back in the first. It was only once on ESPN Radio, so it was probably idle conjecture.

Thanks for making me repeat it.

dj duckett is a free agent. so i expect the redskin are going to let go into the free agent market. the skins didn't use him a whole lot.

everyone is forgetting about hill from washington state.

jamal anderson didn't go againist joe thomas in that bowl game. anderson plays the left side on defense.

As long is Martz is on their staff, they won't be taking a QB in the early rounds. He prefers to find later round guys that fit into his system.

Any of the 4 teams ahead of us could take Thomas

Martz won't be making the pick, Matt Millen will. I could see Detriot taking Jamarcus Russell if Oakland stupidly passes on him. Quinn is a different matter. I'm not sure Quinn is that good.

on paper...at this writing..thomas appears to be the best lineman available in the draft...if you don't agree...stop reading now....HOWEVER the real trick is going to be the job the best scouts have done and will do at the combine to find the guy(s) who are as good as or better than him...because chances are they are out there....it happens evey year....let's hope if we don't get him we have the smarts to find the other guys!!

I would pick:

Thomas or Anderson.

Both are excellent players in positions of need that could contribute to the team right away.
